Absolutely beautiful 2CE set from vandersteen along with original floor stands to keep them off of hardwood or carpet and raise the concert level sound throughout the room even more. If you’re looking for a real listening experience this is it. You won’t ever find another set of speakers that reproduce sound, instruments, voices, or anything like these for the price. Originally 4k back when they were released they’re still the most popular audiophile speaker in the world. Vandersteen still works on them to this date as well so if you ever have anything needing work he can always do it. The right mid driver is starting to separate from the surrounding foam which is very common for speakers this age, all it’s going to take to fix is replacing the outer ring and screwing it back on. Not a huge deal, but I don’t run these loud or bass heavy so that speaker isn’t affected by any of the frequencies that I am putting out of them. The only time you’ll hear them is if you have a song that is incorrectly mastered and has a poorly rendered bass sound. Otherwise my sub handles the heavy lifting of the low ends and they carry on the show of the music with no problems at all. I have my uncle coming into town in a few weeks who works on speakers and would be willing to do the job for free to get that taken care of with no problem at all. He’s worked on hundreds of vandersteens, klipsh, and many other loudspeakers. It’s a very easy job to do and not very expensive. The driver itself is 100% fine and tested. The seal is the only thing that makes a noise at low frequencies. But keeping the mid and lows at 0 to -2 db on the back of them corrects this very easily. I’ve got a class d amp that is brand new, along with new biwire banana plugs, a velodyne 10 inch sub (shakes the pictures on your wall at quarter volume easily) and quite a few other things that I can add in if you’re looking for an absolutely complete ready to go set. Just plug in and play. I’ve got other avance, Boston, and another set of vandersteen 4 speakers with the tan cloth for sale if you’d like the 4’s and these for a giant movie theater you won’t get a better setup or deal anywhere else. These are a great vintage Vandersteen speakers from 2004. The Model 2Ce speakers are in immaculate condition both cosmetically and sonically. This is perhaps Vandersteen’s best selling speaker. The detail and openness is very rare at this price point. This is due to Vandersteen’s philosophy to put the money into the design, speaker and crossover components rather than the enclosure finish and appearance. Yet they still are beautiful speakers. This a highly accurate and musical subwoofer and a great vintage Vandersteen product from 2004. This subwoofer is still in production today! The V2W subwoofer is in immaculate condition both cosmetically and sonically. It is extremely musical using 3 - 8” drivers and a 12” passive radiator. Richard Vandersteen developed this over the course of many years and it has remained largely unchanged for over 30 years. It still is one of the most musical subs available at any price. In great cosmetic condition with only one snag to cloth surround in rear lower left. Selling partially tested. I got this with a pair of Model 3A speakers. I did not need a sub so placed it in the closet untested so I dragged it out and attempted to test it but ran into difficulty due to the connections???? Here is all that I know:I ran banana plug speaker leads from my L/R main speakers out of my receiver with very minor signs of wear- It seems to function but is very muted-low volume??? I have read that it also needs some sort of external EQ box to connect properly. I dont have that. Therefore, if you by this remember it may need work. Sold As-is no return simply due to weight and age, however, You can read my 24 year 100% seller feedback and bid with confidence.
