First Gen of the Vandersteen 2CE Signatures As is often common with these speakers, the grill/sock of one is far from perfect. Its hard to get a good pic with the dark color, so Ive tried as well as I can to point out the worst. The other speaker grill is in far better shape. Rest of speaker(s) look good. Sound is excellent. Drivers are in great shape as can be seen in the pictures. No noises, buzzing, etc. The heavy stands that these practically require for best sound are included. Original Boxes and the packing materials Prefer local pickup Shipping....Possible, but I expect you are considering the weight and size. Would have to be worked out after sale. I was using these with my 5A Carbons and an Audio Research amp and I have now moved on to Richards monoblock amps and these M7 filters are now going spare and here to serve another audiophile! Local pick up in the north Los Angeles area (Santa Clarita). Up for sale is a excellent pair of the legendary Vandersteen 2Ce speakers with stands! These are in nearly perfect condition and the sound quality is excellent! All drivers work properly. These are actually a 4-way speaker with a 10” deep bass (subwoofer) on the back, 8” midwoofer on the front, 4.5” midrange and 1” aluminum dome tweeter. New grill cloth was installed and all drivers were inspected and found to be in excellent condition with no signs of damage or deterioration, so you can expect many years of enjoyment out of these! The stands are custom built and are 1.5” taller than the original stands. This means that you don’t have to tilt them back very far to get them aimed correctly so that the midrange is directly on axis with your ears. This also provides a higher soundstage and better overall fidelity! You can pay for these in person, you don’t have to pay immediately, even if you use the buy it now option. This way you can inspect them first before paying, and I don’t lose the 3 percent fee.

Vandersteen Model 1 Speakers in PRISTINE condition. THESE ARE ORIGINAL MODEL 1’s (no letter after serial numbers). To find an original pair in virtually unused condition is super rare! These Were removed from sealed original boxes by a moving company that was hired to discard all items from an estate. Yes, they were meant to be thrown out. The movers were intrigued by the sealed Vandersteen speaker boxes…weren’t sure what they were. So they opened them up and decided not to discard the speakers (brilliant decision…duh). Unfortunately, they tossed the boxes (not brilliant). I was offered the chance to buy them and obviously did. The speakers were never used until I bought banana plugs to test them. They work and sound amazing! There is hardly a mark on these…maybe a stray mark here and there, but essentially OUTSTANDING 98% condition! Even the grill fabric is near flawless.
