I took a look at the circuit board near the power relay and Im almost certain it just needs a new fuse as the current one looks burned out but Im not a technician so I cant be 100% on that. Oppo Blu Ray Player BDP-83 VRS By Anchor Bay With Remote Needs Repair. The player works but the tray opens with great difficulty and needs to be repaired. The remote is also temperamental and doesn’t always work on the first try. Machine is otherwise in great condition with only minor scratches and scuffs.

Original owner. This Oppo 83 sometimes does not recognize DVD discs. Bluray and audio discs are fine. Who knows. It was modded when new for superior 2 channel audio at the expense I believe of multi channel. Remote works fine.

This is a working unit except the disc tray was pulled out by a child and I was not able to get it to feed back in so it is being sold for parts or for someone to repair. Remote is included. Sold as is but last time I plugged it in, everything it functioned fine except for the physical disc tray.
