Unit powers on, CD drawer does not open. Both vacuum tubes appear to be glowing when viewed through top cover. Front panel is in good cosmetic condition with nothing more than a few very light scratches. Top edge of front panel and top cover have a few scratches. I did not attempt to force the drawer open, no other testing has been done. Carver CD player for parts, as-is. The player does power on. When you press the open button to load a CD, the drawer will not open; with the cover off I nudged the drawer from the back and after the first little bit the drawer will continue to open the rest of the way. The drawer does close by itself when I press the button. Sometimes when I load a CD, the player does not recognize it and refuses to play. Other times, it will play but sometimes skips. The buttons on the front seem to work when playing. Physically, the player looks pretty good.

Carver SD/ A350 CD Player. no remote

This is not working perfectly. Let me explain what is working and what is not. I was able to play discs on 123 and 5. Playing on 4 position resulted in a lot of skipping. On all playback, you can only hear music mostly out of the left channel. There’s barely anything coming out of the right channel. I experienced the same thing in using headphones. So something about the right channel playback is not working. The soft EQ feature works. Playing a disc while opening the disc array works for the most part. However, sometimes it’ll skip slightly while it’s opening or closing. I do not have a remote control for this.
