I have a vintage Carver DTL-200MK2 high end CD player. It was made in Japan and released in the year 1987. It has Digital Time Lens (DTL) and it looks like it can be rack mountable. Its powered by a regular 2-prong power cord. I plugged it in and the front screen appears to work just fine and all the functions appear to work as they should as well. This includes the power on/off button. However, the open/eject button appears to not work. The CD tray will not open no matter what I do. Also, the disc error light above the CD tray is solid red all the time while turned on. So I am unable to properly test this Carver CD player. I do not know if its a function issue with the button. When I press the open/eject button, it does shows DISC on the screen, which means its trying to open the tray. I do not even hear the motor working at all, so maybe its the motor or belt. Either way, I do not have the knowledge to figure out what the issue is or how to repair it. The power cord also has a nick on it. I added a photo showing what I am referring too, but it looks superficial and just at the surface. It does not affect the power, though maybe if you do get this CD player to work, protect the area from further damage by putting some electric tape around it. This Carver CD player unit has been used before and was in storage for a good amount of time and does have wear and tear. This includes some scratches and markings on the case, as well as some of the silver coloring on the front has rubbed off in some small areas. But physically, it appears to still be in decent condition. But because of the disc reading error and the CD tray not opening up, I am unable to fully test it and that is why I have it marked for parts, or not working. You can use it for parts or repair, but I am selling it as is, no returns and no refunds.
