As far as the Functionality. I stop at 8/10 if it has not been on a bench to guarantee factory specs. This was not bench tested. It is just a working preamp that offers a lof of functionality and all of the amazing clarity and detail that Yamaha is famous for, so here are the details: Introducing the Yamaha CX-630 preamplifier, a classic from 1990-1994. This high-quality device is a testament to Yamaha's commitment to superior sound and design. With a sleek black and titanium finish, it's not just a preamp, it's a statement piece. The CX-630 is a power-efficient model, consuming only 30 watts. Despite its compact size (435 x 96 x 301 mm), it packs a punch with a weight of 4.8 kg, ensuring stability and durability. This is a Yamaha CX-2 Preamp in excellent cosmetic (with the exception of small ding as shown in closeup on right edge of front panel) and fully functional condition. Has a very high quality MM/MC-capable phono input. This preamp sounds great, is very transparent, clean and dynamic. The included VS71360 Remote is fully functional including volume, mute and input. It took me a while to find a model with all the right inputs. PLEASE ALSO NOTE: I have SLIGHTLY modified this preamp with two internal jumpers so audio mute goes silent not just -20db down. Let me know if you want it returned back to -20db factory setting and I will either cut (so you can easily solder back together) or completely remove the jumpers before shipping.
