These are a great vintage Vandersteen speakers from 2004. The Model 2Ce speakers are in immaculate condition both cosmetically and sonically. This is perhaps Vandersteen’s best selling speaker. The detail and openness is very rare at this price point. This is due to Vandersteen’s philosophy to put the money into the design, speaker and crossover components rather than the enclosure finish and appearance. Yet they still are beautiful speakers. This a highly accurate and musical subwoofer and a great vintage Vandersteen product from 2004. This subwoofer is still in production today! The V2W subwoofer is in immaculate condition both cosmetically and sonically. It is extremely musical using 3 - 8” drivers and a 12” passive radiator. Richard Vandersteen developed this over the course of many years and it has remained largely unchanged for over 30 years. It still is one of the most musical subs available at any price. Here is all that I know:I ran banana plug speaker leads from my L/R main speakers out of my receiver with very minor signs of wear- It seems to function but is very muted-low volume??? I have read that it also needs some sort of external EQ box to connect properly. I dont have that. Therefore, if you by this remember it may need work. Bought these Sig ll Anniversary Editionabout three years ago from the Vandersteen dealer when the Sig 3s came out.I also have the Acoustic Zen Satori shotgun bi-wire speaker cable for these if you are interested. The four spades, (for each speaker end), have been filed down to fit in the slots on the Vandersteen speaker screw type binders. I believe the shot gun cables, as highly recommended by Vandersteen, are heavy and GREAT sounding Acoustic Zen cables were about $1700.00.
