As with every Boulder product, the 850 was designed, engineered, and manufactured from the ground up in their Colorado factory. Although the footprint is small, the 850 is most certainly a Boulder. I tested the preamp, and I dont have anything XLR, a headphone or a turntable to test all functions properly. I dont know how to test the recording functions either. Volume and balance are smooth and quiet, switches seem to work properly I tested the phono input with a MP3 player set at a low level, and it sounded like expected in both channels There are a few blemishes, 2 small scratches in the top cover, a small dent on the right endcap and a small dent in the faceplate they are all in the pictures. The Gold tube SE 40 is not included in this auction.There is no warranty and no returns,it is asis. There is a possibility some function that I have not tested may not work properly.
