Cartridge has been tested on a Dual 1249 turntable and both channels have equal output and sound fine. Both channels measure 1360-1370 ohms. The stylus is the original Shure VN45MR and has been used a fair amount, but I dont know exactly for how many hours. In listening to a variety of classical, jazz and rock albums I did not hear any mistracking or distortion (at least to my 73 yo ears), but you will have to decide when to replace the stylus.
