This is a Realistic branded R47XT cartridge which was the electrical equivalent to a Shure M95/M97. The R47XT originally came with a .4x.7 elliptical stylus. However, this has an upgraded NDC-ED .2x.7 stylus. This stylus originally was for the Shure Designer Series cartridge, however this stylus fits the R47XTs mount perfectly. The majority of Shure styli dont fit as the plastic grip is too large. This stylus tracks from .75 to 1.5 grams. It has been inspected with a Shure SEK-2 microscope and is showing light wear. These pictures were taken through the eye piece with my 8 year old iphone se so the pictures show a little more light flare than what is actually visible. This is a great cart for someone wanting the warmer sound profile of the no longer made Shure cartridges rather than the tipped up top end that most of todays moving magnet carts have.

Realistic Shure model RXT6 magnetic cartridge with stylus complete. I have checked the resistance on the cartridge, and it is good on both channels. I checked the stylus point under a jewelers glass and it looks like new. This is from an estate. Possible stored as a backup. Do not know if it has been used.

SHURE/REALISTIC R27ED CARTRIDGE. A REBADGED SHURE M75ED TYPEII MADE FOR REALISTIC. Almost a museum piece complete with factory display case, outer box, unopened hardware and instruction manuals. Mounted, tested and aligned on a vintage very early Japanese made Audio Technica Headshell. Multimeter tested at a strong 615/616 ohms per channel where 630 is tops. I have installed a New EVG nude stylus designed to track at 3/4-1.5 grams. Tested for 20 minutes at 1.25 grams and she roars with deep bass and very defined mids and highs. American made by Shure and a classic that you wont see in this condition any time soon. Photos should tell the story. The headshell is worth the price of admission. Completely plug and play on a properly balanced tonearm. Headshell stand is not included. Now for the business. Shipping to the lower 48 United States only.
