Fantastic Shure M55E in perfect working order c/w original Shure elliptical stylus in excellent condition (has been thoroughly tested and sounds like a brand new or just broken in stylus). This cart was pretty much top of the line for Shure back in the late sixties and utilises the same engine/internals as the Shure V15 - it is punchy and dynamic yet highly musical with great stereo imaging, fantastic write-ups can be found on vinylengine. Shure M55E Cartridge + Stylus (Untested for spares or repair) I’m selling off some of my Dad’s vintage hifi equipment. I know nothing about it or whether it is working selling as faulty for spares or repair. The stylus still looks like it’s useable and not that worn but it’s untested. Casing has some scratches See photos for condition.

I got it from my grandfather before and used it on the turntable.It looks like there are still some chips left.I dont know when it was purchased as it was a gift.The shell has a Technica guy.Provided by HARU

Good condition genuine Shure M55E c/w original Shure USED stylus which tracks OK just short of 2grms but after extended testing I find it tends to sit on crescendos a bit and gets a little shouty so maybe it needs a new stylus ?- hence sold as Spares or Repairs only.Also included is a genuine Shure M70B with a worn stylus- untested! Please note the headshell/bolts and my Technics turntable are NOT included in the sale- just the cartridges only!
