Vintage, used Shure M55E Phono Cartridge with an unknown aftermarket stylus. Estate sale find, I removed this from a functional table. This cart has been audio tested and sounds great. I also tested for resistance and continuity on my Fluke DMM - see the photos and the measurements below. Over all its in good condition and fairly clean. As stated, I removed this cart from a vintage turntable so its seen an unknown amount of use and Im not sure what brand the replacement stylus is. DMM measurements: Right: 633 ohm, Left: 640 ohm, R+ To L+ & L-: OL (no continuity) and R- to L- & L+: OL (no continuity). I have packed this cart well, suspended within a small box so that the stylus will not be damaged during transport. Simply cut the zip tie from the bottom of the box to release it. Shure M55E Phono Cartridge Genuine Stylus. Properly battered cantilever but nevertheless plays well and the stylus is fine. Theres a seller in France that sells genuine nude elliptical styli for this cartridge for less than 50 which is probably a good idea. Ive included the existing stylus as it does work and it seems a waste not to. No guarantee on the stylus but cartridge is spot on Lovely old phono cartridge.
