The SMSL VMV D3 is a high-end R2R DAC that uses four PCM1704U-J chips, a balanced design and an isolated power supply. It supports up to 32-bit 768khz and native DSD 512. This model normally retails for $3499 new and the lowest price currently available that I found in a quick online search was $3149. Since mine is used, of course I’m selling it for much less that that. However, it hasn’t given me any problems since I bought it used but in like-new condition from TMR Audio a little over a year ago—it still works and looks great and I’ll pack it in the original box, with the same packing materials used by TMR when they sent it to me. The only (very) minor issue I’ve had with this DAC is that I couldn’t get the included remote to work. I bought a generic SMSL remote as a replacement and this replacement remote has worked for me without any problems ever since. I’ll include both we the working replacement remote and the original remote with the DAC. There are 5 input options: USB, Digital Coaxial RCA, Digital Optical TOSLINK, AES/EBU and I2S. There’s also an option to use an external clock, if desired, although it already comes with an internal clock system that’s very good. I’ve mostly connected the USB input directly into my MacBook or Mac Mini, but I’ve also used the other inputs via a Singxer SU-6 DDC. The SMSL VMV D3 includes 2 audio output options, Digital Coaxial RCA and XLR, both of which I’ve tested recently and found to be working fine. As with most higher-end DACs, it’s expected that the user will provide their own cables, so only a generic USB cable (still unopened) was included in the package when I bought it. I’ll obviously include this USB cable and if you also need a basic power cord, just let me know and I’ll include one free of charge. Denafrips PONTUS II R2R DAC Unit has been upgraded to the highly regarded version 1.4 firmware. Purchased directly from Vinshine audio in 2022. Comes with all original items and fully packaged in original packaging as it did new from the factory. Sound quality is incredible and incredibly natural sounding. Very analog in tone. Only issue is the sticker on the back as the corner pealed back (see photo).

Up for sale my Metrum Pavane with dac 3 in mint conditions without cosmetic flaws. Needless to say it works perfectly and sounds amazing. It was bought in 2018 as level 3 and upgraded by Metrum in late 2021 with new digital board, 8 dac3 converters and mqa module (not installed). I have for sale a gently used and wonderfully functional Denafrips Ares II. It works exactly as designed and sounds great. I will transfer the remainder of the 3 year factory warranty (21 months left) to the new owner by emailing Vinshine (per their process). That way you have piece of mind with your purchase. Denafrips has a service center in Buda, TX should you need to exercise the warranty. I have successfully updated the firmware on this unit twice now. The first time was from the original factory firmware to the 12th Anniversary firmware, then again to a revised version of the 12th Anniversary firmware with improved midrange and bass performance (most recent firmware release). I am only selling this Ares II due to a recent upgrade to a Pontus II. Denafrips DACs are awesome. I am not accepting returns with this DAC as the warranty is only transferable one time.
