Vendo questa scheda PCB che realizza da I2S a uscita analogica stereo. Una manciata di porte TTL ed una rete di resistenze R2R ladder per avere luscita analogica. Vengono convertiti fino a 24 bit. A 16 bit gli ultimi 8 sono a zero, non lavorano e sono ininfluenti.Linterfaccia è totalmente in hardware non ci sono CPU. Lavora in modalità non oversampling e accetta frequenze di clock oltre il classico 44.1 Khz. Nelle foto la vedete lavorare a 24 bit 96 Khz I due canali Sx e Dx sono perfettamente sincronizzati. La linearità è garantita dalle resistenze utilizzate con tolleranza di 0.1%. Potete vedere il segnale triangolare in uscita.Prima della rete resistiva sono stati inseriti tre buffer da 8 Bit (totale 24) per aumentare la disponibilità di corrente.In questo modo, rispetto le versioni precedenti, si è potuto abbassare drasticamente il valore delle resistenze R che è stata portata a 600 ohm. Così facendo gli operazionali di uscita non sono più necessari e sono stati eliminati con grande vantaggio sul suono. La bassa impedenza di uscita che si ottiene permette di pilotare direttamente gli stadi di preamplificazione successivi. Gli integrati buffer (HCT244) sono alimentati con una alimentazione a parte di 6V generata da uno stabilizzatore lineare incorporato nel circuito. E possibile selezionare tensioni da 5, 5.5 e 6 V partendo da una 12V di ingresso. Il segnale analogico che si ottinene ha uno swing di 6Vpp pari a 2V rms.Il condensatore di accoppiamento in uscita montato è del tipo al tantalio ma è possibile eliminarlo e montare condensatori personalizzati. Un filtro passa basso passivo anche semplice R-C sarà necessario a piacere eventualmente direttamente montato sui connettori di uscita. A handful of TTL gates and a network of R2R ladder resistors for analog output. Up to 24 bits are converted. In 16 bits the last 8 are zero, they dont work and they are influential. The interface is totally in hardware there are no CPUs or DSP. It works in non-oversampling mode and accepts clock frequencies beyond the classic 44.1 Khz. In the photos you can see it working at 24 bit 96 Khz The two left and right channels are perfectly synchronized. Linearity is guaranteed by the resistors used with a tolerance of 0.1%. You can see the triangular signal coming out. Three 8-bit buffers (total 24) have been inserted before the resistive network to increase the bit current output. In this way, compared to the previous versions, it was possible to drastically lower the value of the resistances R which was brought to 600 ohms. In doing so, the output operational amplifiers are no longer necessary and have been eliminated with a great advantage on the sound. The low output impedance obtained allows direct driving of the subsequent preamplifier stages. The buffer ICs (HCT244) are powered by a separate 6V power supply generated by a linear stabilizer incorporated in the circuit. It is possible to select voltages of 5, 5.5 and 6 V starting from a 12V input. The analog signal obtained has a swing of 6Vpp equal to 2V rms. The intalled output coupling capacitor is of the tantalum type but it is possible to eliminate it and mount a customized capacitors. A passive low-pass filter, even simple R-C, will be necessary if desired, possibly mounted directly on the output connectors. This listing is for my Musician Audio Pegasus - R2R DAC To my ears this is better than the Denafrips ARES II DAC and only selling due to an upgrade to another R2R DAC and to be honest the sonic difference between the Pegasus and my new more costly DAC is minimal! making this a bargain in the R2R world. It is used but in excellent condition and in full working order with original packaging and instructions. Denafrips Ares II R2R Dac 9/10. I love this DAC! But I see no need in keeping it since upgrading to the Venus II 12th... Yes, it is that good, the reviews are true, so true, I replaced it with a Venus II 12th DAC... I bought the Ares II roughly 1 year ago from Alvin at Vinshine Audio. It does NOT have the latest firmware upgrade, you can do that yourself if you want. Personally, for the money, and owning the Venus II 12th, this Ares II is a steal. It will come in the original shipping box. When I purchased, it did not come with a power cord, but I will throw a good one in for you so you can hook her up right out of the box. The unit is 9 out of 10, no issues, case is scratch free all the way around. I can contact Alvin at Vinshine, and more than likely have the warranty transferred to the buyer, there is roughly 24 months left on it. Happy Bidding!
