Das Gert ist immer noch ein absoluter Geheimtipp und eine Raritt, die von Kennern sehr gesucht und geschtzt wird. Darber hinaus ist diese Special Edition hierzulande extrem rar und nur wenige Exemplare haben den Weg ber den Teich zu uns gefunden. Wer den Unterschied nicht kennt: Bei der Special Edition wurde die Audio-Sektion des Oppo BDP-83 mit SABRE-DACs auf Referenzniveau gehoben und bersteigt sogar das, was die so hoch gelobten BDP-95 und BDP-105 spter geliefert haben. Das absolute Schmankerl an diesem besonderen Player: es ist ein Regionfree-Modul installiert, mit dem er DVDs aller Codes und sogar BluRays aller Regionen (A, B und C) abspielen kann! Diese Modifikation allein hat nochmal 150 gekostet. Als ob das noch nicht genug wre, habe ich das einzige Verschleiteil - den Laser - runderneuert und durch einen brandneuen ersetzt! Allein dieser Kostenpunkt beluft sich durch schwer erhltliche Ersatzteile auf ber 100. So hat der Player seine ganze Lebensdauer noch vor sich. Der Player ist bekannt fr seine Vielfalt abspielbarer Medien, die Anschlussmglichkeiten und nicht zuletzt die hochklassige Bild- und Tonqualitt. Im Detail: - Er kann nicht nur Bluray, DVD und CD abspielen, sondern auch die exotischeren Formate HDCD, SACD und DVD-Audio. Fast kein Player auf dem Markt deckt alle diese Formate gleichzeitig ab. Vor allem: Im Gegensatz zu seinen Nachfolgern spielt er vor allem sogar selbstgebrannte Varianten dieser Formate ab, einschlielich SACD-R - diese Fhigkeit wurde selbst bei anderen Oppo-Playern nicht mehr angeboten! - Whrend viele aktuelle Gerte nur noch HDMI-Anschlsse haben, bietet der BDP-83 neben Component und Composite fr Video auch Cinch, Koaxial, Optisch UND Mehrkanal-Ausgnge fr Audio an! Das Gert funktioniert einwandfrei und hat nur leichte optische Gebrauchsspuren. Die Fernbedienung und das Netzkabel sind natrlich auch dabei. This listing is for an Oppo BDP-83 SE (Special Edition). I am selling this device with a lot of sadness and only because I am forced to give up my entire home cinema. This device is not only an insiders tip but also an absolute rarity: only very few units of this SPECIAL EDITION were made available, and only an even smaller number made it across the ocean to Europe. For all those who are not fully aware of the differences: This Special Edition offers a strongly updated audio section as compared to the original BDP-83 as it now uses SABRE DACs on reference level, even surpassing the audio performance of the flagships BDP-95 and BDP-105. As if this was not enough, this player offers even another special treat: a regionfree kit is installed, meaning it can play Blurays (regions A, B, C) and DVDs (codes 0-10) from all over the world! This modification could only be obtained for > 200 Euros. And there is yet one more extra to it: I have replaced the laser (as the only expendable part) with a brand new one, so the player still has its entire lifespan ahead of it! You cant get a better and safer package out there. It should also be mentioned that this player offers all the advantages of the original BDP-83. To name just a few: - The Oppo cannot only play BD, DVD and CD, but even the more exotic formats like HDCD, SACD and DVD-AUDIO. Barely any player of the market covers all those formats at once. For experts: Something that not even the later Oppo players can do, this BDP-83 can: this is playing self-burned media of those formats SACD-R and DVD-Audio-R. Oppo were forced to remove this compatibility from their later players! - While many deviced only have HDMI outputs, the BDP-83 even still has Component and composite for video as well as RCA, coaxial, optical AND 7.1 multichannel outputs - so you can place it in any kind of a home cinema! The player of course works flawlessly and only has slight optical marks of use. The remote control and power cord are included. Have fun!

It is fully functional and in a very good condition. No replacement remote control covers all functions, let alone the code selector in the battery compartment.
