This unit was in need of a new Power Switch and a new set of Muting FETs. It is otherwise all original except as upgraded below; I have updated the mute ON/OFF circuitry to match that of the 3225PE. See last photo. This allowed me to replace the original 3 Amp Power switch with a more robust 7 Amp switch that should last forever. I have upgraded all of the Electrolytic Capacitors. The Power Supply caps are nichicon, Chemicon, and Panasonic. The Phono Preamp and Control Preamp audio caps are ELNA. The Phono Input coupling caps are ELNA SILMIC II Bipolar. The Power Amp caps are nichicon Gold. For added versatility, I have repurposed the (fixed line level) Tape Output RCA Jacks to be the (variable level) Preamp Outputs suitable for a powered Subwoofer, external Power Amp, etc. They are equivalent to the Preamp Outputs on the 3225PE which allows this unit to be used as a Preamp only. Cosmetically, this unit is in great shape inside and out except for a bunch of marks on the top/side cover. Please see photos. Feel free to message me with any questions, corrections, comments, etc. ******* Chapter Two ******* Whenever I acquire an NAD 3220PE with all of the original Power Amp transistors intact, I prefer to preserve and protect them by removing two fuses to disable the PE Supply, effectively re-configuring the unit as a 3020e. This reduces the Main Rails to 60V and more accurately emulates the operation and performance of the iconic 3020 Power Amp section while also staying within the specified safe area of the output transistors, making them less likely to fail. While this does reduce the specified IHF Dynamic Power, I have compensated somewhat on this unit by Beefing_Up the RMS Performance with upgraded Main Caps, going up from 4700uf to 6800uf Chemicon. Ill also be happy to reinstall the fuses on request.

NAD 3020E Stereo Integrated Amplifier. 100% Untested.. 100% UNTESTED, the power plug is cut off when I got it. Also,one of the speakers connections is damaged (check photos). NAD stereo Amplifier 3020e. Is used working condition

NAD 3020e Stereo Integrated Amplifier - Phono Stage. Amp has some black marks on the top edge. See picture 1 and 4 Generally great condition for age. Fully working. Sad to see it go but needs must.

Nad 3020e (Serviced). Fully recapped. Calibrated and all cleaned up unit. Controls and switches cleaned. Unit works and sounds spot on. They caps are fairly generic so dont expect nichicon or elna etc. Still better than the aged capacitors in the unit some were not testing great either. Really enjoyable little 20 watt amplifier. Ive cleaned the front panel and there are some small nicks from age. The top lid is not the correct colour but a sea grey colour but thought be refreshing change than just painting it black. It beats the scratches it had on it which really spoilt the rest. Next owner can repaint if needed to colour of their desire. Please no silly offers. This is a cleaned up and serviced unit not something yanked from an attic. Cleaned with a rag. Tested for 5 mins and put on sale.
