This is a McIntosh MCD 7000 CD player that I acquired with other used McIntosh items. this unit is in excellent exterior condition. The unit powers up, the the door would only open and close every now and then but would not play. I do not have any interest in owning or repairing a CD player. So someone else can bring it back to its glory. The working remote control is included along with a new replacement gear and belt I purchased . Please ask any questions.

I am reluctantly listing my MCD-7000 CD player. The player still reads the disc and sounds great for random time periods then the music is very jittery. Lately it has exhibited some unusual characteristics. Along with the jitters some of the front key functions do not work as intended. Sometimes the drawer opens on power on or if some other button is pressed. The original manual and original remote are all in like new condition and are included. I very seldom used the remote. The wood cabinet (also in excellent condition) is not included but is available in another auction. Shipping is $42.50 and within the USA only. Works but needs service. Mcintosh MCD-7000 CD Player. I purchased at an estate sale along with other Mcintosh equipment. The original owner said he had the player worked on but it still doesnt work as it should. I found it plays the discs sometimes. These are the problems I noticed: Sometimes it reads the disc, most times it doesnt. When it does work it sounds great for the first two or three tracks then it either stalls or the sound is very distorted. Sometimes pressing the function buttons does not give the expected result. This unit will need to be thoroughly worked on or used for parts. The physical condition of the unit is excellent. On Sep-30-23 at 21:27:00 PDT, seller added the following information: No remote is included only the unit and the original owner manual.

This McIntosh CD player looks pretty good for its age with minimal wear. The only significant blemish in on the back of one of the silver trim pieces (see picture), so its not really visible when looking at the machine from the front. Theres also some sort of which substance on the buttons (power, store, cancel, etc), but thatll clean up with a Q-Tip. When we first powered it up, the tray opened and closed perfectly. However, it did not read the CD. To complicate the matter, the tray will now not open at all. This unit is being sold as-is for parts or restoration.
