Includes original box for shipping. The Iota is an ultra compact two-way bass reflex-tuned design. The 2.6 litre cabinet is constructed from high grade MDF, which is internally damped. The main drive unit is a 100mm (4 in.) Polypropylene cone with a powerful, low-distortion ferrite magnet system, coupled to a finite element analysis-designed suspension system. The tweeter is a 50mm (2 in.) vertical planar magnetic ‘ribbon’ device. The choice of tweeter is critical, because the tweeter lends the whole speaker its essential character and integrity. In this context, the tweeter’s strengths of superb dynamic contrast and accurate tonal colour are well matched to those of the main drive unit. The Iota is unusual with the tweeter being mounted, vertically, to the side of the bass/midrange drive unit, allowing the cabinet to be as small as possible, whilst giving good lateral dispersion from the tweeter. Anyone looking at this will know about Neats enviable reputation for making fantastic quality speakers by people who are actually musicians themselves. Im reluctantly selling my mint condition Neat Motive SX1 loudspeakers in natural oak. These are they latest version and three years old... they currently retail for 2850. No scratches, marks or any kind of damage and as near mint as possible. The reason I am selling is my hifi has moved to a much smaller room than I originally had so I now have purchased small stand mounters that suit better. I dont have the boxes anymore so collection only. A demo is possible with my Naim amps and I would be prepared to drop them off in the Scottish central belt or meet up halfway with anyone interested but they are worth traveling for from the North of England or Scotland due to the low price.
