When it was introduced in 1977 it was considered to be the best solid state pre-amp available on the market. Until then it was thought that this sound quality was only possible with tubes. The sound is clean and precise, but at the same time musical and smooth. It clearly outperformed all competing solid-state offerings at that time. The sound quality is rivaled today only by newer and more expensive gear. The phono section is still one of the smoothest regardless of cost. You will not be disappointed with this items performance. PLEASE NOTE: I have recently added new photos of the internal array of the components (all ML units) so that you can see under the hood. This item is for U.S. based buyers only. Excellent working condition, this was used in our recording studio for years along with a Levinson amplifier.  Some small scratches but sounds amazing as it should.

I am selling a very high-end, used Mark Levinson No 25 Phono Preamplifier & PLS 226 with Umbilical cable The power supply PLS 226 has two ports to power two systems; usually No 25 phono and No 26 line preamplifier. I just replaced. 1 digital display chip. The display is fine. For some reason the display says” active OSD” I can’t seem to reset it so I can’t make it play sound like it should. I can’t set the outputs like I want. Because of this I’m selling it for parts. The display chips are worth the cost. The unit is in great shape otherwise. FOR PARTS!!! I don’t know if it plays music!
