Amazing condition for it’s age. Was in storage, only issue is minor oxidation on buttons as seen in the photo and visual oxidation on the top. I didn’t try cleaning those parts because I didn’t want to risk damaging it. I work on electronics and decided to open it up and ensure everything looks good as seen. I cleaned the back connectors with 99% alcohol and Q-tips. And yes it is fully functioning!

this is one of HKs best preamps. for now, the good news:1.both channels work2. aux input works3. phono input works4. treble controls seem to work - defect works5. bass controls work - defeat/light works the bad news:1. has noise on all inputs, does not increase with volume, and is mostly drowned out at higher volumes.2. the treble defeat light is out. I would recommend a recap and controls cleaning to bring this back to state-of-the-art. picture of insideshow unmolested boards (would probably frightenand excite the hacker boys at that audio forum knownfor sneezing into a live circuit). I will include what I understand to be a replacement relay - just in case you lose a channel (the relay controlsthe output). that many HK725s experience. I would normally tackle the recap/upgrades (if any) butlack the patience for major jobs and have dozens of other projects. so do it and keep this preamp running the show or sell it for $$$$. thanks for looking
