Up for auction is my old lp12 it’s an early model around mid seventies it comes with a Valhalla linn basics plus tonearm and a K18 cartridge it has had the hinges changed at some point in its life the earlier decks had little chrome hinges with a little prop to hold the lid up but was changed to the later hinges so if the hinges go weak you can still hold the lid up with the prop but the hinges work fine The deck is in good condition the lid is scratched and has two little cracks where the hinges are but are hidden when the lid is put inside the hinges apart from that the deck is in good shape . Demo welcome.

Springs and suspension rubbers for Linn LP12. Taken from a 1983 LP12. I think they are the Nirvana set as they are black, not silver. All the rubbers are pliant; some have a slight impression from where the springs sat against them. All springs are springy. Clearly these are not new but they appear quite serviceable.

Linn Sondek LP12 Transition Turntable in authentic original condition. My retired friend has owned it since new. It has been well looked after with only occasional use and always lived in the lounge. The video was recorded after it was examined and stylus replaced by a vintage audio specialist last week. Beautiful sound. Other than very light age related usage marks on the lid and side as can be seen in the photos, this is in lovely unpolished unrestored condition. The most prominent mark is on the inside of the lid perhaps once rubbed by a record. I know little about these so have removed the base to photograph the inner suspension and power supply etc for the benefit of the audiophiles. To my untrained eye, the old paint on the suspension system fixings and lack of screwdriver rash on the components describe a rare unmolested LP12. I have listed it as collection only from Gosport in Hampshire. However Im prepared to deliver it myself within the area shown on the map if you message me before bidding to check first. I am also prepared to package as best I can and accept your courier to collect but this is entirely at your own risk. I wont post overseas Im afraid. Im happy to answer any questions. Daher hat der LP12 keine Seriennummer.Wichtiger Hinweis zum Versand: Siehe auch die Angaben weiter unten im Angebot. Kurze Fassung: zum Versand wird der EKOS 2 ausgebaut und das Gegengewicht abgezogen. Da EKOS 2 und Lingo 2 im LP12 Karton keinen Platz haben, werden beide in separaten Kartons verschickt. Er sollte also noch viele Jahre problemlos arbeiten. b) Der LP12 arbeitet problemlos. c) Da der LP12 die letzten Jahre wenig benutzt wurde, sollte der ADIKT Tonabnehmer auch noch lange funktionieren. d) Linn hat vorgeschlagen nach mehr als 5 Jahren den Riemen und das Lageröl zu wechseln sowie die Filzmatte zu erneuern. Da mein Linn Händler 2020 in Rente ging und das Geschäft aufgab und ich den LP12 wenig nutzte, habe ich das länger nicht machen lassen. Zwar spielt der LP12 m.E. einwandfrei, aber vielleicht sollten die Arbeiten doch gelegentlich von einem Linn Händler durchgeführt werden. Vielleicht wäre ein Upgrade auf das Karousel Lager (kostet m.W. ca. 1.000€) bei der Gelegenheit eine Überlegung wert, das Karousel soll eine deutliche Verbesserung sein und da würde ein Teil der Wartung evtl. Teil des Upgrades sein. Versand: a) Abholung (oder Bringen) wäre, abhängig vom Ort des Käufers, sicherlich bei so einem empfindlichen Gerät das Beste. Ein Versand erfolgt in einer LP12 Verpackung. Allerdings ist der LP12 recht schwer, der Versand in Deutschland kostet daher 16,99 Porto und 18 Euro Transportversicherung (Gesamt 34,99€). Die 2 Kartons für EKOS 2 und Lingo 2 werden kostenlos versendet. Außerhalb Deutschland will ich nicht verschicken. Ein Fläschen mit Lageröl, das allerdings auch schon etliche Jahre alt ist, wird mitgeliefert. d) Bei Abholung sollte auch der Kabelstecker in der Tonarmbasis auf richtigen Sitz geprüft werden (kein großes Problem, im bei meinem LP12 verwendeten Trampolin ist ein Loch unterhalb der Tonarmbasis). Bei Versand muß das T-Kable bei der EKOS Montage wieder eingesteckt werden. e) Einiges zu tun? Das ist mehr oder weniger bei den meisten Käufen gebrauchter hochwertiger Plattenspieler nötig, auch wenn es oft nicht erwähnt wird. Fragen beantworte ich gerne, es kann aber u.U. etwas dauern. Turntable Linn Sondek LP12 kit Valhalla + Lurne arm 2 + Moving coil cartridge Supex 900 super + Supex SDT 1000 pre-preamplifier. This turntable (pictures1-5), his tone arm and Supex 900 super (picture 6) and Supex SDT 1000 step transformer (pictures 7 and 8) are in perfect working conditions and come with several accessories including a spare belt, the oil for the tone arm in a syringe, a Decca brush for cleaning LPs and a Supex liquid for cleaning the stylus (pictures 9 and 10), the written instructions of Mr. Lurne himself (the conceptor of the famous Goldmund turntable) to adjust any cartridge (in French, but that I will be very pleased to translate, being fully bilingual, picture 11) and all original packages (pictures 12 and 13). The stylus of the Supex 900 super cartridge is in excellent condition as my Linn Sondek was only used to read brand new LPs (see last paragraph below). I am a stereo maniac, with a McIntosh amplifier 7270, McIntosh preamplifier C31V, McIntosh CD player MCD 7007, McIntosh FM tuner MR 7082 connected to an external antenna, Quad ESL 63 Pro electrostatic speakers, Revox B77 reel to reel tape recorder, and Nakamichi 1000 ZXL K7 deck, both tape recorders connected to a DBX 124 noise reduction unit (see pictures 14 and 15). Connectic is by Monster cables, except for the Quads, which are connected to the amplifier by Leedh cables. My listening room is almost perfect with a height of 6.5 m in inverse V (see pictures 16 and 17), and thus with a huge volume. The Quads ESL 63 Pro are perfectly placed at 1.2 m of the back and lateralwalls in stone (0.7 m thick) and distant of 4.5 m. The insulation of the walls on the back of the Quads has been rigidified to avoid any parasite vibration as the Quads function in doublet. There is a specific electric line for the stereo directly from the electric counter. You may notice 1) that the amplifier at the bottom of my rack is sufficiently far away of the other components to avoid any radiation of the monstrous output transformers of the McIntosh amplifier 7270, and 2) that the Quads are on home-made metallic stands. They are filled with sand with cork supports on both the metallic plate bottom of the Quads and on the wooden floor. In my personal opinion the Quad stands are not high enough to get a perfect stereo image for a seated listener. I have plenty of test CDs including the Chesky volumes 1 to 3, plenty of friends who are musicians, and I regularly assist to live concerts of mostly Baroque music, blues and jazz... I had two turntables: This Linn Sondek LP12 operating in my main listening room with an AGI 511 A preamplifier (much better than my present McIntosh preamp for its phono section, already sold recently on eBay). Another secondary stereo system with a turntable Thorens TD 160 (also recently sold on eBay) was in use in my office comprising a Marantz 2225 receiver connected to the external FM antenna, a basic Sony CD player CDP-690, and a pair of French 3A Apogée Monitor speakers (see pictures 18 and 19).

I purchased this in the 1980s for my own deck which has sadly long gone. The table has been in storage since then so would benefit from new stain. The original spikes are included.
