Product Description: The plinth is an original Linn plinth (S/N: 60684) constructed from Afromosia hardwood and has that classic Linn fluted finish. It is corner braced, perfectly square and level, and presents in stellar condition. The top-plate is the original Linn one matched to the plinth which has been carefully cleaned and reinstalled using brand-new washers and nyloc nuts. The sub-chassis is a genuine Linn bonded model which has been thoroughly checked to ensure no warping, carefully cleaned, and re-fit to the plinth also using brand-new hardware. It has the superior Linn Cirkus bearing which has been carefully cleaned and was found to be in excellent condition. It comes with the matching Linn inner platter and a beautifully cleaned Linn outer platter. In addition, a genuine and brand-new Linn felt mat is included. The tonearm is a genuine Linn Ittok LVII which easily passes the swing and bob tests confirming the horizontal and vertical bearings are in excellent shape while the head-shell presents in fine condition. The armrest is also in excellent condition. The tonearm cable is also an original Linn T-cable in excellent condition. I have given it more protection from RF interference using a braided covering and it includes genuine Linn 24k gold-plated RCA plugs. In addition, the tonearm board is a recent Linn model in excellent condition. As for the mechanics, the springs and grommets are genuine Linn and brand-new while the motor is a brand-new Linn Premotec model which will provide years of trouble-free service. The mudguard washers and aerotight lock nuts have been replaced with brand-new and the ground wire (earth cable) is also a genuine Linn one. I also have supplied a brand-new Linn belt and a vial of spare Linn oil is provided for the bearing. The power supply has been upgraded to a genuine Linn Lingo 1 which is in excellent condition. The Lingo 1 allows any A/C power noise to be moved outside the turntable chassis and not interfere with the tonearm signal. It also offers the convenience of 33.3 or 45 RPM speed selection at the push of a button. It supports 110v to function in North America and the original Linn power cable is also included. The lid (dustcover) is genuine and brand-new as supplied by Linn and comes complete with brand-new Linn hinges. The base is a genuine and brand-new Linn aluminum baseboard which allows access to the tonearm cable plug. It includes a set of genuine Linn vibration isolation feet. Low low price. For sale is a used, one of the best turntable systems: Linn LP-12 Sondek Turntable with Ittok LVII Tonearm, Cirkus Bearing, Lingo PSU, Trampolin baseboard The turntable works great. It runs very quietly and smoothly. PSU is 120V for US/Canada market; upgraded power cord. Original Linn cable with RCA connector from the tonearm. The cartridge is a Linn Adikt but the stylus is bent. It also has the Trampolin baseboard. After installing a new cartridge, this is an excellent system to deliver high-quality music. The LP12 has been fully serviced by Krescendo HiFi. This includes a full strip down, the three suspension bolts have been checked for exact vertical hanging using the Linn tool specifically for the purpose, the suspension grommets and springs have all been replaced with brand new ones from Linn, the suspension has been carefully set to the correct pistonic bounce, the tonearm has been fitted with the correct geometry using the Linn Kinky alignment tool, the turntable rotation speed has been precisely set to 33.3 rpm using a laser revolution counter and the lid has been polished although a few very small marks remain. The LP12 has been fitted with the awesome Linn Ekos MKII tonearm. This has been fitted with the stunning Linn Arkiv moving coil cartridge. The LP12 benefits from the external Linn Lingo power supply which provides a rock steady 33rpm and 45rpm at a touch of a switch from a quartz locked power supply. The Lingo is a significant sonic upgrade from the Valhalla or Majik power supply. The LP12 is in stunning condition with only slight marks to the lid, one small mark to the plinth and some very slight marks to the Lingo case. None of which really detract from the appearance. The deck will be all set for playing music and will only require basic putting back together from the box. We will provide full instructions how to do this and will provide full support. And we do mean FULL support. The buyer is welcome to phone us any time if they have questions. As a package they sound absolutely stunning. The LP12 comes in a Linn turntable double box with all the internal fittings to ensure safe transport. The Lingo will be shipped carefully in a custom made double walled box with Stratocell high impact packing sheets all round for superb protection. It will be fully insured anyway. The Linn Sondek LP12 is perhaps the most widely reviewed turntable (and still production after 50 years) in the World. Almost every vinyl enthusiast knows it and is one of the most recognizable product in the hifi World. In its current offering, you could buy their starter LP12 - the Majik LP12 at $5,100 or their top of the line, Klimax LP12 at $31,000! Which incidentally looks like the LP12 we have for sale here at only $2,995! The turntable is a very well curated unit where its one and only previous owner ordered it (after much careful evaluation on the different options) with the Lingo external power supply, Ittok LV II tonearm and Shelter 301 MC cartridge. If you want the best Sondek LP12 from that era, this may be it. This is analog at its best for under $3,000. This LP12 will spin 33s unlike any other. If you want to understand what this recent resurgence in vinyl is all about, this is an affordable way to join the party. Put aside what you have been hearing from CDs, vinyl is all about unadulterated music. Cartridge is good but we always recommend replacing the cartridges or having one on standby since there is no way to accurately predict the hours on it. Output voltage is 0.4mV with a load impedance of 11 Ohm. What we have always loved about the LP12 is its simplicity in design. Its basically a very basic motor, a platter and an arm. Many audiophiles have gone on to mod the motor, the chassis etc to elevate its performance but for us, we love its original simplicity. Put the money on cartridges and you would be smiling from ear to ear. Cosmetically, the unit is in nice shape for its age. Some minor nicks/scuff marks from use but nothing major. Dust cover is in good shape but the previous owner lost the hinges because the turntable was placed in a book cabinet where there wasnt enough height allowance to flip the cover open so he would just slide it in when he needs to cover it. Local pickup preferred but if shipping is required, it will be securely packed for safe shipping. Terms and conditions - PLEASE READ!
