The plinth was heavily worn - as early black plinths tend to be - so this has been sympathetically refinished the plinth to remove the worst of the wear and tear. Nevertheless, it does show some minor signs of ageing and use.Originally fitted with a failed Valhalla, this has now been exchanged for a very nice Linn Lingo 1 power supply which is in excellent condition. This, along with the pre-Cirkus bearing provides a very musical partnership so we’ve elected to use a rarely found (particularly in this condition) Syrinx PU-2 tonearm. Claimed by many to be the better of the Linn Ittok, this cleverly engineered design allows for greater control of cartridge alignment and balance and provides a performance more akin to uni-pivot designs rather than conventional bearing tonearms.This is now set up beautifully and performs at a level that greatly belies its price point. OverviewPoints of note (pictured)There are some light signs of use on the top of the plinth.There is a crack in the lid at the rear right hinge but it still operates perfectly. There are some light surface scratches to the lid but it is presentable. Given the size of this tonearm, the lid does lightly foul in the fully down position so we would recommend using spacers in the long-term.This deck is hugely capable and is perfect for someone who really appreciates how musical - and esoteric - the LP12 platform can be.

Angeboten wird ein Linn LP12 mit Netzteil Lingo 2, KORE Subchassis, Cirkus Lager, EKOS 2 Tonarm, Adikt MM-Tonabnehmer, Trampolin 2 und T-Kable 1,7m schwarz sowie eine braun getönte Staubschutzhaube Dieser LP12 wurde ca. 2015 vom Linn Händler (bis zum Rentenbeginn einer der besten LP12 Spezialisten in Deutschland) aus einigen meiner Gebrauchtteile (Gehäuse, Haube, ADIKT und EKOS 2) und sonst alles Neuteilen hergestellt. Daher hat der LP12 keine Seriennummer.Wichtiger Hinweis zum Versand: Siehe auch die Angaben weiter unten im Angebot. Kurze Fassung: zum Versand wird der EKOS 2 ausgebaut und das Gegengewicht abgezogen. Da EKOS 2 und Lingo 2 im LP12 Karton keinen Platz haben, werden beide in separaten Kartons verschickt. Nach Erhalt muß der EKOS 2 wieder eingebaut und das Lingo 2 wieder angeschlossen werden. Am besten im Rahmen einer Wartung vom Linn Händler den EKOS wieder einbauen lassen, der Lingo Anschluß ist mE problemlos selbst möglich (Stecker einstecken bis er einrastet). Der LP12 ist in etwa auf dem Stand eines Akurate LP12 von vor einigen Jahren, er hat folgende Teile: a) Als Gehäuse/Plinth/Zarge ein Fluted Afromosia Plinth (Gehäuse mit Rillen) b) KORE Subchassis (Aluminium mit fest verbundenem Aluminium Armboard) c) Cirkus Bearing Kit statt dem neuestem Karousel Bearing (seit März 2020?) d) Trampolin Mk2 Bodenplatte (Aluminium, mit Dämpferfüßen) e) Netzteil Lingo 2 statt des Lingo 3 bzw. Lingo 4 (Lingo 4 ab März 2020?) f) 1,7m T-Kable schwarz mit RCA/Cinch Stecker statt des üblichen 1,2m T-Kable. Das schwarze Kabel ist der Nachfolger des silbernen T-Kable. g) EKOS Mk2 Tonarm statt des 2020 beim AKURATE LP12 vorgeschlagenem Akito Tonarm h) ADIKT MM-Tonabnehmer statt dem 2020 vorgeeschlagenem Krystal MC-Tonabnehmer i) Alte braun getönte Staubschutzhaube statt der heutzutage gelieferten Klarsichthaube Zustand: a) Beim Lingo 2 wurden im Dezember 2020 von der englischen Firma Class-A Audio, die authorisierte Linn Spezialisten sind, alle Kondensatoren ausgewechselt, er wurde gewartet, justiert und getestet. Er sollte also noch viele Jahre problemlos arbeiten. b) Der LP12 arbeitet problemlos. c) Da der LP12 die letzten Jahre wenig benutzt wurde, sollte der ADIKT Tonabnehmer auch noch lange funktionieren. d) Linn hat vorgeschlagen nach mehr als 5 Jahren den Riemen und das Lageröl zu wechseln sowie die Filzmatte zu erneuern. Da mein Linn Händler 2020 in Rente ging und das Geschäft aufgab und ich den LP12 wenig nutzte, habe ich das länger nicht machen lassen. Zwar spielt der LP12 m.E. einwandfrei, aber vielleicht sollten die Arbeiten doch gelegentlich von einem Linn Händler durchgeführt werden. Vielleicht wäre ein Upgrade auf das Karousel Lager (kostet m.W. ca. 1.000€) bei der Gelegenheit eine Überlegung wert, das Karousel soll eine deutliche Verbesserung sein und da würde ein Teil der Wartung evtl. Teil des Upgrades sein. Versand: a) Abholung (oder Bringen) wäre, abhängig vom Ort des Käufers, sicherlich bei so einem empfindlichen Gerät das Beste. Ein Versand erfolgt in einer LP12 Verpackung. Allerdings ist der LP12 recht schwer, der Versand in Deutschland kostet daher 16,99 Porto und 18 Euro Transportversicherung (Gesamt 34,99€). Die 2 Kartons für EKOS 2 und Lingo 2 werden kostenlos versendet. Außerhalb Deutschland will ich nicht verschicken. Eine Lieferung nach Österreich könnte evtl. erfolgen, wenn der Käufer in der Nähe der Autobahn Salzburg - Wien wohnt und einige Wochen (evtl. 2 Monate) auf die Lieferung warten kann. b) Der EKOS 2 wird ausgebaut und das Gegengewicht abgemacht, beides muß also vom Käufer (oder vom Linn Händler bei der Wartung) wieder montiert werden. c) Bei Versand muß auch das Lageröl entfernt werden und muß vom Käufer wieder aufgefüllt werden. Ein Fläschen mit Lageröl, das allerdings auch schon etliche Jahre alt ist, wird mitgeliefert. d) Bei Abholung sollte auch der Kabelstecker in der Tonarmbasis auf richtigen Sitz geprüft werden (kein großes Problem, im bei meinem LP12 verwendeten Trampolin ist ein Loch unterhalb der Tonarmbasis). Bei Versand muß das T-Kable bei der EKOS Montage wieder eingesteckt werden. e) Einiges zu tun? Das ist mehr oder weniger bei den meisten Käufen gebrauchter hochwertiger Plattenspieler nötig, auch wenn es oft nicht erwähnt wird. Fragen beantworte ich gerne, es kann aber u.U. etwas dauern. Hier noch das Kleingedruckte: Privatverkauf, daher: Dies ist ein Privatverkauf, daher unter Ausschluss jeglicher Gewährleistung, keine Garantie, keine Sachmängelhaftung, keine Rückgabe, kein Umtausch, kein Widerrufsrecht usw. Original Linn cable with RCA connector from the tonearm. The cartridge is a Linn Adikt but the stylus is bent. Otherwise, this is an excellent system to deliver high-quality music. The Trampolin baseboard has its front two footings replaced by metal spiks on metal discs. The total height is maintained the same with the other, original footing (see the last picture). The Linn Sondek LP12 is perhaps the most widely reviewed turntable (and still production after 50 years) in the World. Almost every vinyl enthusiast knows it and is one of the most recognizable product in the hifi World. In its current offering, you could buy their starter LP12 - the Majik LP12 at $5,100 or their top of the line, Klimax LP12 at $31,000! Which incidentally looks like the LP12 we have for sale here at only $2,995! The turntable is a very well curated unit where its one and only previous owner ordered it (after much careful evaluation on the different options) with the Lingo external power supply, Ittok LV II tonearm and Shelter 301 MC cartridge. If you want the best Sondek LP12 from that era, this may be it. This is analog at its best for under $3,000. This LP12 will spin 33s unlike any other. If you want to understand what this recent resurgence in vinyl is all about, this is an affordable way to join the party. Put aside what you have been hearing from CDs, vinyl is all about unadulterated music. Cartridge is good but we always recommend replacing the cartridges or having one on standby since there is no way to accurately predict the hours on it. Output voltage is 0.4mV with a load impedance of 11 Ohm. What we have always loved about the LP12 is its simplicity in design. Its basically a very basic motor, a platter and an arm. Many audiophiles have gone on to mod the motor, the chassis etc to elevate its performance but for us, we love its original simplicity. Put the money on cartridges and you would be smiling from ear to ear. Cosmetically, the unit is in nice shape for its age. Some minor nicks/scuff marks from use but nothing major. Dust cover is in good shape but the previous owner lost the hinges because the turntable was placed in a book cabinet where there wasnt enough height allowance to flip the cover open so he would just slide it in when he needs to cover it.
