Hsu VTF-3 Mark 4 subwoofer - Rosenut veneer - beautiful and powerful I have had this since new. Listened to mostly classical music and some movies. Im now in my 70s, need to downsize. (sigh) ;-( Made in the USA. I recall this cost about $1000 new, and it looks and sounds as new to my ears. I always left the big foam plugs in, for a tighter sound (less speaker excursion). The rosenut wood finish is high quality furniture grade, and has no dings, scratches or blemishes; it has always sat on carpet, most of the time in one house (only recently in my next house). Its so heavy it makes sense for local person to buy and pick it up; however I do have the original box.The actual shipping cost is additional for you, and I will only ship within 48 states in USA. From The Amazing Dr. Hsu who got his start making awesome subwoofers. Comes the HSU Ventriloquist system with Center Channel w/5 sets of binding posts for the Special Wiring to your Receiver. The Left, Right and Center channels from your AV receiver (speaker wires) all run into the Center Channel, then the Left and Right (speaker wires) run out from the Center to the speakers. VERY SIMPLE to do, and this is what allows the Ventriloquist Function to work. There is a large toggle switch on the back of the Center Speaker, this enabled/disables the venteiloquist function which takes the bass frequencies from the L and R satellite speaker with smaller drivers and shares with the Center speakers larger Drivers... its surprisingly effective! It can be turned of as well. The Center speaker is 5 inches tall and weighs nearly 25lbs! And can play down to 80hz! ONLY REASON Im selling is I got an 85 tv above a fireplace mantle and needed a thinner speaker for it to fit... unfortunately my new Center being 1.5 thinner is no where as good as the HSU speaker system. This speaker system from HSU Research is perfect for your home theater setup.
