This was given to me with the Hafler DH-200 Amp. I didnt try to set it up for over a year and when I did it wouldnt power up. I was told that it worked but nope. Im going to be buying a restored or working one after I sell this one for parts. The pictures are my description. The only thing I did was clean the pots.

The Hafler DH-101 Preamplifier has six inputs and three outputs that allow you to connect to various devices. Please note the following:1. The connector is not original equipment (see photo).2. The cable at the box junction has a small nick. A drop of liquid tape has been applied to protect the cable (see photos)4. Plugging the connector to an electrical outlet shows the LED lighting up; no other testing has been done.

This is a very well thought out and executed, yet simple, preamp. It supports 4 line level inputs (2xtape, tuner, and aux) as well as two MM phono inputs. It has bass and treble controls as well as a tone override switch. It supports output in stereo or mono. It has RCA ports to include an external equalizer if you wish, and supports tape dubbing mode. Has multiple switched and unswitched AC outlets to feed power to your other system components. Red LED power on indicator on front face.The operation manual and schematic are available free online and the amplifier has a strong classic following in online forums.

This Hafler preamp is in working condition. It has been tested, but THE VOLUME POT IS SLIGHTLY SCRATCHY. Could use some deoxide. The piece itself is in ok good condition, with scratches and marks shown in the photo.

Very Rare Kit OptionHafler Preamplifier Model DH-101 with Model 102 (DH-102) Pre-Preamplifier This is an estate find,it appears that this kit was mostly put together but not completed?There is what looks like a transistor and a bolt taped to the front push buttons,I was not sure how complete this unit was, and thought it best to not plug it in for testing due to my lack of knowledge around a circuit. I will tell you the previous owner was very intelligent by looking at some of his hand written notes, he was a skilled pilot, very much an audiophile, telescope enthusiasts with an observatory built into his house, I would rest assured this kit was put together with procession. Included is what I can only guess was an optional rack mounted face plate, as I could not find another. I am not sure what is meant to be bolted to the far left side. Original paperwork included, including the instructions for assembly and operation. There is also a document for the Model 102 pre-preamplifier. And Schematics. See all photos for condition.
