Hallo, verkauft wird ein Bottlehead S.E.X. (zusammengebaut wie abgebildet) aus dem Januar 2015. Die Röhren auf dem letzten Foto sind die mitgelieferten, die verbauten 6DN7 Röhren auf dem ersten Foto sind zusätzlich gekaufte (beide sets, insgesamt 4 Stück, werden mitgegeben). Bis auf das zusätzliche Set an Röhren und das Finish sind alle Teile Original vom Bottlehead Bausatz. Leider gibt es ein leichtes zufälliges Klacken - mit Lautsprechern ist das kaum zu hören, mit Kopfhörern ist es etwas nerviger (kommt sicher auch auf die jeweiligen Modelle an). Sobald Musik spielt höre ich es nicht mehr. Ich denke nicht, dass es an den Röhren liegt, da das Geräusch unabhängig von der Lautstärke, vom Kanal (links/rechts) sowie vom Set der 2x2 Röhren ist. Der Verstärker kann entweder so wie er ist verwendet werden oder falls jemand gerne bastelt, kann er versuchen den Störkandidaten zu finden :) Der Kopfhörerausgang ist ein 6.3mm Klinkenstecker, der bei Verwendung den Lautsprecherausgang stumm schaltet. Das C4S Upgrade ist verbaut, das Impedance Switch Upgrade ist dabei allerdings original verpackt // noch nicht verbaut, derzeit ist der Lautsprecherausgang auf 8 Ohm gelötet, falls das Impedance Switch upgrade verbaut wird lässt sich das leicht ändern (müsste von 4 bis 32 Ohm gehen). Alle Anleitungen sind als .pdf Datei vorhanden. Die sichtbaren Power und Output Transformer wurden Schwarz gesprayt (die Farbe ging etwas ab, wo die Schrauben zur Top Plate auftreffen), die Kappe vom Power Transformer ist Zinkfarben gesprayt. Das Holzgehäuse ist etwas gerundet geschliffen und Kirschfarben gebeizt sowie geölt. In München kann er gerne auch abgeholt werden. Built roughly a year ago with with WBT silver solder. Worked flawlessly since it was built. All original parts, including tubes. The wood chassis is still rough wood finish, so up to the buyer to choose preferred finish.

I built two of these fantastic amps with the intention of selling both...eventually...but not yet. For now, you get to choose which 1 (single amp) you want and Ill keep enjoying the other. Im a very experienced electronics tech and have built numerous kits and projects through the years. I consider these professionally built. You can see by my pricing that Im not trying to turn a big profit - I just dont want to take a loss. I build these because I enjoy the quiet time in the garage plus Im smitten by that rich tubey sound! I had tried several of the Chifi tube amps but was left underwhelmed and quickly moved on from them. The Bottlehead Crack couldnt be more different. This amp + Sennheiser 6xx hits all the right spots and made me fall in love with Sennheiser again. I have headphones costing many times more than the 6xx, but nothing replicates the richness of this combo. The Crack also sounds great with hi-impedance Beyers. My experience with planars on Crack has been all negative. Ive heard wonderful things about ZMF headphones on the Crack but havent had that particular experience yet. In addition to the already great sounding stock tubes provided by Bottlehead, this auction includes two premium tubes: an Apos Select 12AU7 ($80) and a Russian Sovtek winged C 6H13C ($60), both used for approx 20 hours across both amps. Ive added custom legs to both and both have remote-controlled color changing LED lights inside the case (9v battery powered) that I added because I like the way it looks with my Geshelli gear.
