All functions work perfectly as they should and it plays Blurays, DVDs, and CDs with ABSOLUTELY ZERO skipping or loading issues (obviously unless if your disc is scratched up or dirty...) FIRSTLY, it has the latest firmware update Sony released for these insuring that it will be HDMI compatible with all older and newer TVs. Also, It has a new belt set, fresh Sony laser pickup installed, and a totally disassembled and re-lubricated laser transport tracking assembly. Many a time I find that all the original grease in all these units begins to harden and become more like a tacky, wet glue rather than a slick lubricant. This leads to skipping during playback when not addressed. Also, each unit is disinfected, dusted inside and out, and cleaned ready for installation into your system. As is. No refund. It doesn’t work. Parts are inventoried and photographed to stop conn artist from harvesting and returning. For parts or repair. In working order they got for almost $1000.00. For parts they are being sold for $400-500 on Ebaay. Sony BDP-cx960 Rare. One of only two Blue Ray changers I know of that Sony made. Powers on. That’s about it. It worked fine for three years that I used it. I was first and only owner. Then I put it in storage for five years. When I got it out it had error 8003. I dropped it off at a Sony repair facility in Syracuse NY and they looked at it and said it needed some parts that they could not get from Sony. If i recall it was a motor or a belt? I hear a noise like something is trying. maybe someone else can use the parts in this one to get it going. Comes with remote!

This has spent most of its life boxed up and waiting to be put into a theater that never would be completed. I do not have the original instruction manual but its readily available for download online. For the few years this player was used, the box was stored in a leaky garage so its not in the best of condition and I will be taking extra steps to make sure it arrives safely for the buyer. I will be filling the remaining air space in the box with from peanuts and then putting this box inside another box with an extra layer of packing materials. This is a super cool unit but I have moved onto Kaliedescape so I no longer have a need for this player. This is going to require me to procure another box and extra packing materials and it will then become a fairly large box that will require appropriate shipping and insurance.
