No Remote I tested DVD CD and a Blu-ray all working. It’s slower to load than a standard 1 disc player as it has 400 slots to go through. It will need a powered speaker source such as a sound bar or a tv to plug into to hear sound. A non- powered speaker would not be loud enough. It can function without remote but I would suggest getting one for ease of function. Thanks Does not come with tv or anything else you see in the pictures it is only the system and power cord. The unit is in very nice, lightly used condition and comes complete with the RARE original RM-APD036 remote, manual, and HDMI cable for hookup. All functions work perfectly as they should and it plays Blu-Rays/DVDs/CDs with ABSOLUTELY ZERO skipping (obviously unless if your disc is scratched up or dirty...) ALL my BDP-CX960 Sony changers (including this one) have my typical refurbish service which consists of addressing all the key points these need to keep running smoothly. FIRSTLY, it has the latest firmware update Sony released for these insuring that it will be HDMI compatible with all older and newer TVs. Without this update I have witnessed that some newer TVs after 2013 or so will not show any picture and the changer wont recognize the connected TV. My units will not have this issue. Also, It has a fresh belt set, cleaned laser lens, and a totally disassembled and re-lubricated laser transport tracking assembly. This consists of the gear drive and metal guide rail the laser head rides on. When this is not addressed, it can lead to skipping during playback. Many a time I find that all the original grease in all these units begins to harden and become more like a tacky, wet glue rather than a slick lubricant. This leads to skipping during playback when not addressed. Also, each unit is disinfected, dusted inside and out, and cleaned ready for installation into your system. Each unit ships with the disc loading door in the open position so no pressure can be applied to the clear door window causing it to possibly crack during shipping pressure. It is bubble wrapped and surrounded by packing peanuts for cushioning. I have been working on these Sony changers for many years and am confident in each one I offer for sale. I GUARANTEE them to work properly for 60 DAYS from the delivery date and back that up with eBays extended 60 day return policy. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I’m tired of messing with it so selling as is for parts or repairs. No returns. It was working fine and then one day, the disc wouldn’t play and that error message popped onto the tv screen. After that, I could only get it to play about half of the time. It sat for a while and the last time I tried to use it, the door wouldn’t shut on its own. Like I said, I’m tired of messing with it at this point. Hopefully someone else can fix it and get some use out of it.

Sony BDP-CX960 400 disc does not work. Will not power on and no screen display. At first the problem with it was the system will attempt to read the disc and is followed by the door opening. Then the power button will not turn on. Do not have the original remote. This is being sold for parts ONLY.
