KEF Q150’s These amazing SMALL bookshelf speakers are truly a modern technological miracle!! KEF is widely considered one of the most respected speaker companies, but the Q150’s sets the bar extra high. When we listened to the KEF Q150’s, my wife and I pitted them against some real-world beaters the Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) 600 Series. The B&Ws were more than twice the size of the KEFs- (see picture) yet we had a difficult time telling which speakers were playing the many different genres of music. There were a couple of songs where the B&Ws had a little more bottom, but others where the mids and highs of the KEF’s were clearer and more defined. Also, the magnetic speaker grills were an additional $50 charge. How does KEF do it- see technical photo. And best of all- wives and girlfriends cannot complain about them being so big and ugly! And just wait until they hear them………… One last note, the KEF’s were slightly damaged on one corner when shipped by KEF. My son-in-law is a master cabinet builder and did an excellent job on the repair- you literally have to look for it- (see last picture). But the sound is perfect!
