This Emotiva PT1 preamplifier is about 2 years old, and still part of their current product line. It is in excellent working and cosmetic condition, from a smoke free home. I used it as a DAC for my 2nd stereo system. It has very good sound, especially at 24-192, and supports all standard sample rates lower than that. When the Emotiva XDA-3 DAC came out last year I got one for my main system, and liked it so well that I got another one to replace the PT1. Its a little better, but the PT1 is very good, less pricey, and has more features. Has their proprietary Lambda stylus tip. A most unique design- instead of the stylus being mounted through the cantilever, this model has the cantilever at a severe downward angle with the diamond inserted into the end!! Think the Concorde SST aircraft with the nose in the down position. The hours are unknown but the tip appears clean and sharp when viewed under magnification.
