The low end more extended AND tighter. A much warmer, richer and more realistic sound. Dare I say, tubelike.. Its also very nice looking. Typical McCormack build. Looks like high end gear should.The DAC-1 resulted in some of the most breathtaking CD sound we have ever heard. The upper registers were crisp, but without harshness of any kind. Steel string guitars are a good test for this, and the McCormack blazed through unscathed. Everything is pretty much mint. Breaks my heart to sell. The 508ia comes with 1200.00 in tube upgrades. 1200gr has a Nagaoka mp500 cartridge with brand new stylus. And a funk firm achromat. R3 Meta comes with matching S3 stands. Everything works flawless. My friend comes over who has a 25,000.00 system. Everytime he comes over he always says he likes my system better. So ya it is jaw dropping good. Also included is a really good SUT Local pick up only. Im into the amp for 4 grand.. You do the math. Ya pretty much giving this stuff away.
