The 8000CDM featured a Philips CDM9 Pro mechanism housed in a conventional Audiolab 450x320x75mm chassis. The CDM9 was the final model in Philips’ classic line of single-beam swing arm mechs, which many considered to have better sound than the three-beam linear tracking devices that followed. This weighted 6kg, thanks in part to a high-quality toroidal transformer that was unexpectedly huge. To isolate the mech from the outside environment, a visco-elastic polymer suspension system was used, as well as a low-noise master clock. The unit came with optical, coaxial (S/PDIF 75 ohm) and AES/EBU (110 ohm balanced) digital outputs, with a BNC to BNC coaxial interconnect supplied, along with BNC to phono and phono to BNC adapters supplied. Very good sounding and rare pair of bass reflex (ported) German made MB Quart Q 600 floorstanding speakers. These would be great for an office or work studio environment, easily filling a moderate sized room with crystalline highs and rich bass. Excellent imaging due to driver placement. A no nonsense entry level audiophile, 2-channel speaker system. Power rated at 80 - 150 watts, 4 ?, with a frequency response of 35 - 32,000 Hz. In good working and sounding mechanical condition and decent overall cosmetic condition with some dings and tears in grille cloth. Please look closely at the pictures of actual items for main cosmetic description. One cab seems to have been bumped on a front corner but its not too noticeable. Tweeters were replaced with MB Quart replacements; one woofer had a small hole in the butyl surround that was repaired from the back, so its fine. Can always be replaced, but now theres no need. Two of the speaker terminal screw were missing, so I replaced with nylon locking hex nuts for a secure connection. Also, note one of the 8 nylon feet has been replaced with a rubber foot. Probably has no noticeable sonic effect and certainly not cosmetic, as its in the back on the floor, but thought Id mention. Working and sounding great. Im offering only LOCAL PICKUP here, for an LA music lover who wants a great pair of speakers for a reasonable price. You are looking at a Bose speaker system. Everything works as it should. The front of the large speaker needs a cleaning. It is not damaged, just dusty/dirty. I am not sure what to clean it with.

Here is a Cardas power cable that could be yours. It is 1.5 meters in length (60). I bought this new about 15 years ago but have no idea what model it is in the Cardas line. An eBay member informed me that he thought this was a Golden Power Cord. I cannot guarantee that is 100% correct but I appreciate his input. Has the Cardas logo along with the HAND TERMINATED BY THE SILENT TERMINATORS on each end.This cable has some user wear (used, but not abused) as I am a musician and used this on my PA system as it made a major improvement in sound over the stock cable. This performs as new but make sure you are aware of the slight cosmetic wear before buying. Just some wear on each end. Rock solid performing cable. See photos. Has C15 (15 amp) end.
