I had this pair of Mono Block M300 since 1994 and they are working great and sound radicular powerful and can sound compatible to McIntosh MC275 . The front ends were designed with Solid State operational amplifier to couple 8 pieces of 6550 Power Tube for each Mono Block. The output Transformer was designed with trifilar coils for coupling with plate, gride, and cathode, i.e., that is very similar to the original McIntosh MC275 power amplifier. For modern MC275, the output transformer is designed with only bifilar, one set of coil omitted to save cost. But they did not sound like their original MC275 anymore, very close to Solid State Power Amplifier. You can check with their schematics for the detail of their output transformers. This Audio Research M300 had the sound quality similar to original MC275 from 1960 units with 4 X RMS power output of MC275.The price in the listing is for a pair of mono block Audio Research M300 power amplifier in working condition. Audio Research I/50 Integrated Tube Amp Black w/ DAC + PHONO Modules I am selling my like new black I/50 integrated amp by audio research. I am the original owner of it. It comes exactly as it would if you bought it brand new. This is the most desirable color and speced out unit in my opinion as it comes with both the $1000 (?) DAC upgrade (which sounds AMAZING) and the same $1000 Phono Card Upgrade. This maxes out the potential of the unit and its in a sleek black color which I liked most. There are a few hundred hours on it total as it was a 3rd system for me so its literally perfectly broken in and sounds wonderful. Its a deceptively small system but when I plugged it into my Wilson Sasha 2 speakers it powered them with ample amounts of power and sounded great there and it also made these Tannoy System 1000 speakers that I used with them sound excellent as well. Due to the condition, # of hours and options I priced it at $5500 which I feel is fair since its $7500 brand new. Im open to serious offers on it and can ship quickly.
