Audio Research SP9 with phono input I am clearing out before a house move and offering this popular preamp for sale. Solid-state/valve hybrid design and beautifully constructed. The phono input is moving magnet or HOMC only. Tube dampers are fitted to both valves. I found the output to be quite high for my power amplifier so, although it is adjustable with internal modification, I have bought two Rothwell attenuators that worked well. I will include in the sale. The condition is excellent with just a few barely visible abrasions on the faceplate. I believe this is the Mark I model although I do not know for sure whether it has been modified by previous owner(s). Some were modified to Mk.II standard. It is a genuine Absolute Sounds import and 240V. I have the original manufacturers boxes for shipping
