These are a very rare classic. At 350 Watts / 8 These baby’s will not only light up your Wilson Audio Sophia Series 3, but will power any speaker in the world! At 450 Watts /4 or 850 Watts / 2 continuous, it will handle the most demanding loads. The clarity, musical definition and sound stage will literally speaking “ blow you away”!! You are not going to find many of these around, for the lucky people that own them keep them! The design and power is second to none. These are very HIGH CURRENT amplifiers, with a combined rail capacitance of 70.000 uf per unit, which gives lots of head room. These 565s have a time delay circuitry (soft start) to apply the bias voltage after all the amplification circuits are up to speed, eliminating the speaker thump on power up, and also to protect your speakers in case of circuit issues. I personally would put these 565s up against any of the big boys like Krell - McIntosh - Jeff Rowland - Classe Audio, PS Audio etc. It will hold it’s own, if not easily surpass. These two amplifiers are the pinnacle of audiophile euphoria. Both of these amplifiers are EXACTLY! The same! Except for serial numbers BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE SOMETHING NEW: There is a BIG DIFFERENCE with this pair of 565s, from the originals. The driver PCB’s are brand new double layered PC boards. ALL the components on the driver PCB’s are brand new, 1% audio grade components from US mfg. Vishay, kemet etc. (very expensive) The driver heat sinks are enlarged from original to dissipate the heat more effectively. Everything on the PCB’s have been upgraded to the highest audio grade component’s to give the best low noise sound reproduction possible. Plus expect to get a minimum of 30 years service from these refurbished amplifiers, before any degradation of components. And even then it would be negligible. I am a one man shop, with 30 years as a electronic tech, so each piece of high quality audio equipment gets my personal attention, of which I repair, clean, adjust, and inspect everything as if I were keeping for my own. I have personally been completely through the internals of these GFA-565s (as you can see by the pictures) insuring everything is to factory specs. I have many exhausting man hours in the refurbishing of these amplifiers and with populating the new driver PCB’s with all brand new components. Because these were so special, I gave them extra care. I leave no stone unturned. So you can buy with confidence knowing you are going to receive two very high quality amplifier’s in perfect condition electronically and beautiful condition cosmetically.. These unit’s have undergone hours of testing and burn in under load, driven by a Harman Kardon CD 491 player into a Harmon Kardon 825 preamp into Paradigm B/P Espirit 300 w Towers. The externals are in better than new condition. The driver boards are new with all new audio grade 1% tolerant components. The bias voltage was adjusted to 23.5 mV per unit.The two electrolytic are new on the output modules and have been upgraded to 100 uF/160 v with .1 400 v mica’s in parallel. All the caps on the soft start board are new. Plus at any frequency it is less than .02%The DC offset voltage at the speaker terminals is .1mV on amp 1 & .3 mV on amp 2These units draw .9 amp’s at 115vac per unit at idle. Blem list: On only one amp, on the top there was a couple of very small rust spot’s which I have touched up. They are hardly noticeable. Other than that these amp’s are in near mint condition. Please Note: I only ship in the US. No international shipping! As always I pack everything with the best of materials, so as to thwart the gorilla UPS handlers. It will arrive alive and unscathed. The service manual & owner manual will be included (reproduced from original) along with amplifier spec sheets on each amp after testing. Hochwertige schwere US amerikanische High-End Mono-Endstufe (220V), 350W an 4 Ohm. Leider defekt, klingt aber normalerweise sehr klar und druckvoll, zum Betrieb kritischer Lautsprecher (Infinity, Apogee, Magnepan, Martin Logan, usw.) sehr gut geeignet. Für Stereo ist ein zweites solches Gerät erforderlich. Zustellung im Umkreis von Augsburg möglich. Kurz nach dem Einschalten kommt immer die gelbe Clipping Anzeige und es kommt kein Ton.
