Adcom GFA-555 Stereo Power Amplifier acquired from the family of the original owner. This is one of the great Adoms that were made in the USA. New Jersey to be exact. Thoroughly tested and working 100% as it should. Conservatively rated at 200 watts per channel at 8 Ohms this Adcom has power to spare. Both left and right channels have equal, powerful output (tested with a sound meter). Sound quality is excellent in all respects. Peak distortion meters have also been tested and are also working as designed. The bridged mono/stereo switch on the back is functional. Also, worth mentioning is that the US made Adcom components are one of, if not the most reliable/dependable stereo components ever made. They work the same as the day they left the factory in East Brunswick, NJ. Cosmetically excellent. I noticed when taking pictures a couple of the middle heat sink fins in the back are slightly off center. No one would ever notice other than under extreme close examination and even then, they probably wouldnt notice. I mention everything I see for the critical bidder. Someone more patient than I could readily replace the switch. The sound is excellent and the capacitors are still good (it takes a good minute to stop playing once you power the amp off). I had it checked before the pandemic at L & M Electronics Service Co. in Daly City, CA (now, sadly, closed as they were great) and they said it was in good condition.
