Thoroughly tested and working 100% as it should. Both left and right channels have powerful output. All indicators work including distortion alerts, power indicator, etc. Stereo/mono switch on the back is also functional. This particular model has outstanding dynamics and soundstage. Sound quality is outstanding in all respects. To be honest, the GFA-555 is my personal favorite power amplifier of all time. It has four fuses for output protection and is one of the most reliable/dependable amplifiers ever made. Designed by the esteemed Nelson Pass. The amp has been cleaned up, tested, and had DC offset and Bias adjusted. Electronically, this is almost all original.The RCA input jacks have been replaced. The originals were damaged. The 4 electrolytic capacitors on the low level board have been replaced with top level audio grade capacitors. The amplifier sounds great, and is electronically very good. Negatives:The amp has numerous dings along the top of the front face plate. Not sure what was going on there, but these are the largest cosmetic flaw. (see pictures) There is a small round ding on the top. Still some slight grunge on one side I didnt manage to clean off completely. Well I hate to sell this one. Been holding this for a long time in storage. Brought home and began listening to it last week and wow. I better stop right there. Very very clean. Only blemish found in the paint anywhere is on the bottom inside corner of the faceplate. Easy to do on this model as they are so heavy. The faceplate, and the top and sides are as nice as possible. You wont be disappointed. Works well and sounds wonderful. Includes box, packaging, paperwork and amp. Amp is 32lbs in original box that is 21x15x11. Oversized box to protect this will be 24x18x14. Sorry but there is no way around the bulk and weight and this and it will cost a bit. Any overestimation of shipping charges will be returned. Sold as-shown only in this listing. This unit just came in on trade. I opened it up, cleaned the driver board and installed 4 new caps. Blew out and vacuumed out the rest. Tested and biased. Sounds great as it should it is a GFA. The bad news in the previous owner dropped it at least twice.
