Both left and right channels have powerful output(200 watts per channel @ 8 ohms.) Sound quality is exceptional in all respects. Stereo / bridged switch on the back works along with the peak indicator lamps on the front. Cosmetically Excellent, the only flaw I could find is one of the six small rubber plugs on the case side is missing(auction picture #6.) Years ago, many audiophiles removed all six of these small rubber plugs to allow better air flow. They have no effect on performance or appearance. Most sellers wouldn’t even notice or mention it. The basic circuitry of the amplifier has also been modified slightly to drive reactive loads with lower distortion. Other differences between the original and new versions of the amplifier involve small details that individually may not make an appreciable change in its performance but collectively constitute a distinct refinement. For example, the gold-plated input phono jacks now have Teflon insulation, and the internal point-to-point wiring uses oxygen-free copper (OFC) wire. Adcom GFA-555 MKII w/ Original Manual. This amplifier is in excellent pre-owned condition. While not worth mentioning, it does have a single 1-2mm mark that doesnt look like a scratch on its top. It performs flawlessly and operates as it should. It has never been modified. This is an excellent example of this renowned amplifier. General Specifications:The amplifier is a stereo amplifier with a power output of 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms. It can also be bridged to mono mode, providing a power output of 600 watts into 8 ohms. The frequency response of the amplifier is typically 20 Hz to 20 kHz (+0, -0.25 dB) at 1 watt into 8 ohms. The THD of the amplifier is less than 0.03% at rated power into 8 ohms from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The SNR of the amplifier is typically greater than 120 dB below rated output, A-weighted.
