Yamaha C-60 stereo preamplifier, unit works, however, unit has been dropped Unit has been tested and seems to work as it should, however, selling for parts, I believe the unit was dropped, top cover has dents and scratches, some of the scratches have been touched up. Please see photos. The top cover tabs that attach the cover from below some are broken off, again please see photos, there’s a missing trim piece above the tone bypass and audio muting button. Again, multiple scratches, dense and scratches, missing pieces, etc., broken tabs. However, unit has been tested and seems to function. Selling as is with no returns. Missing the power button

This Yamaha C-60 has been Serviced and Tested. All control contacts have been cleaned, solder joints have been repaired [including ground points], and any out of tolerance components have been replaced. The cosmetic condition is good to very good ... no deep scratches or noticeable dents. There are some scuffs which are hard to see with the naked eye ... please see photos. I bought this pre amp in 1985 and it has served me reliably for most of that time. A few years ago it started to make noises and retired it, planning to have it recapped. Then I got a great deal on a threshold pre amp and the rest is history. It has been sitting in the closet since and I finally decided to let it go. It was working when I took it out off service,but at this point ,who knows. That’s why I am listing it as For parts or repair.

Tested & works. The exterior is in rough condition, has scratches, wear & some light damage. Missing power button face cover. The bottom cover screws dont hold on very well as there some cracks in the plastic but the cover does stay on albeit a little loosely.

Up for purchase is a used Yamaha CX-600U stereo preamp. Yamaha makes some fine products, and this preamp is no exception. Purchase includes a copy of the manual and a working remote. One thing I like about this preamp is the Source Direct mode, which when selected, bypasses all tone/balance/loudness controls and switches in its signal path, resulting in pristine audio reproduction. The preamp also features a selectable internal MC/MM turntable preamp, and an *adjustable* Loudness control. Capacitors look to be in great shape. Recently removed from service. I have sprayed DeoxIT cleaner into all of the switches and potentiometers to remove scratchiness. Ask any questions you may have before purchasing.
