Those of you who have been buying 78rpm records from us for the past 12 years know what this machine does. We cleaned every record we sold on this spiffy little machine (or its predecessor). For those of you not sure of what it does; the record is put on the turntable and screwed down with one of the two spindle caps. You wash the record using a flat fingernail brush (never use anything that you wouldnt use on your skin) using a grease breaking liquid soap solution. The brushing lifts the surface debris into the foam and the vacuum wand sucks the debris away. Rinse, vacuum and wipe with a soft cloth... easy. It takes about 5 minutes per record. Included are vacuum wands for both 10 and 12 records, 2 spindle caps, the drain hose with clamp, cleaning brush. This machine is 5 years old.

This is a VPI HW-16.5 Record Cleaner. More modern version. Made in the USA. From a local storage unit. Has some condition issues. Read details below before bidding. Cosmetics-Good overall with some general edge wear. Most heavily on the top left edge with a deeper worn through area in the middle. See photos. The top clear cover has scratches. The bottom is missing a foot and the other three are badly cracked and need replacement. The clear exit tube has black residue inside and could use replacement as well. Operationally the table and vacuum run smoothly. I took a peek inside the bottom and looks clean overall. Good for someone who is a fan of this model. See lots of photos of what you are getting. Sold AS IS. Includes the unit and generic AC power cord seen above. Nothing else is included. Will be well packed for safe shipping. This VPI HW-16.5 appears to work, but makes quite a grinding sound when the turntable turns. I decided to open it up and see if anything looks out of place.. Everything looks perfect in there. Please watch the video, know that Ill pack it very well, but understand that this is being sold AS-IS.
