VPI 16.5 Record Cleaning Machine For Parts or Repair Ive owned this for about 10 years. The turntable motor died roughly 2 years ago and was replaced. Functions perfectly. The vacuum motor recently died and was replaced with a new one. However, when you switch it on, nothing happens. I returned the motor and got a replacement but the same results. I suspect it may be nothing more than a bad switch but I do not have the time to diagnose any further and have since purchased a new VPI. There are scratches here and there but nothing substantial. The cover is intact and closes as it should. The vacuum pick up tube was upgraded shortly before the motor gave up (lovely...) As stated, this is being sold AS IS for parts or repair.

The machine has its bumps and bruises, some of which are easily camoflaged with a Sharpie. (Were too honest to do that ourselves.) It wasnt the greatest looking machine out of the box anyway. The vacuum tube / brush was recently replaced & only used a handful of times - Its a little dirty inside like usual, but wont need to be replaced again any time soon. Includes the record screw clamp, cleaning brush, power cord, drain tube & a half full bottle of VPI cleaning solution - everything youll need to get cleaning, and everything you see in the photos. In nice condition overall, but the two back upper corners got banged at some point. You barely notice from the front, and there is no effect on its functionality. nice smoked plexiglass lid is in great shape, as is the cork mat. Drain tube needs a cleaning. I bought this new a few years back and used it like on maybe 10 records total. Sheesh. (I sold my collection shortly after the purchase. There is not a better more effective vinyl cleaner out there - especially when you consider that the method used by this cleaner won’t cause damage. It’s in perfect condition. Still has the protective covering over top. These sell for $1000 new. Ships well packaged in double thick box.
