I am the original owner of this PS Audio PerfectWave Transport. Included are the transport, original manual, power cord, remote, and original packaging. It plays CDs only (not SACDs). List price was $4000. It works but the drive is starting to get glitchy. Sometimes it will not play a disc all the way through which is a symptom of drive failure. PSA no longer supports this model but the drive replacement can be done by the user. This unit also has value as a trade-in if you are considering buying a new piece of PSA gear. Depending on the price of the new unit they will give you up to the original retail price. You would need to call PSA to get details. This drive was state of the art when it was introduced. It buffers and reclocks the data from the CD so the output to the DAC is bit perfect. I had it running into a PerfectWave DAC Mk II and it sounded great. If you are game to replace the drive, a new one costs less than $30. It uses a standard DVD/CD drive that would go into a computer. I have a PDF of the service manual that explains the drive replacement procedure. I will include this with the unit. I also can give you a couple of links to PSAs forum where the drive replacement was discussed. Cosmetically I would rate this an 8.5 out of 10. There are a couple of small blemishes that dont show up well in the photos but overall the unit is very nice. I used it in my non-smoking home. I made a major upgrade to a Jays CDT3 and I would like this unit to find a good home or get traded in. If you are thinking about trying a CD transport this is a low cost way to get your feet wet.
