Plus unlike many newer units it plays flat eq with no bass management. I bought this in 1995 or so and still plays clean and as loud as I can stand. For anyone who is not a rabid $$$$ audiophile it will be better than your ears and as good or better than any receiver on the market today. This unit looks good and sounds great. All of its functions have been verified except for the video RCA connectors. The only problem is that the positive connector for the left B speaker is fussy- you have to jiggle the wire around until it makes contact. If this unit ever had a remote control, it is not available.
