At the same time, when using aluminum plugs, better heat dissipation in the area of ??the pole core increases the load capacity and counteracts thermal changes in sound. The dynamic midrange driver works with particularly low distortion when a copper layer covers the inner pole of the magnet, while the aluminum phase plug provides dispersion of the higher frequencies. So only the right combination of materials does it. The technical explanation is trite: the combination of the two materials linearizes the inductance of the voice coil. This results in a dramatic reduction in distortion.

The internal bracing is incredible, probably overkill, they are SOLID! I live in a townhouse, so I listen at a relatively low volume. As shown in photos they are a matched pair. These were my main speakers for approximately 5 years, used in a non-smoking home with no pets or children. They are in good working condition and have no visible scratches other than on the bottom of the cabinets. They will be shipped in their original boxes along with the owners manual and a graph of the frequency response as measured at the factory. Impedance is 8 ohms nominal, 4 ohms minimum. Sensitivity is 89 dB SPL (2.83V at 1 m). Dimensions are 36.25 in H x 10.125 in W x 10.125 in D. Weight is 42.5 lbs not mounted on stands.
