Up for sale is one modified Denon AU-320 Phono SUT in very good to excellent condition. Ratios: 1:10 (40 ohm setting) PASS (pass through for MM carts) 1:36 ( 3 ohm setting) This SUT has been modified in the following way. First, the tethered stock cable was removed. Second, the L and R output signals were rewired to the pickup-2 RCA jacks. This was done in order to eliminate the umbilical cable and more importantly to use whatever desired interconnect cables to the phono preamp. Because of this mod, the 1 / 2 switch does not function and the SUT can only be connected to one turntable at a time. Additionally, the 3 / Pass / 40 switch was disassembled and thoroughly cleaned with Deoxit. The switch retains its full functionality and acts normally in all three positions. The interior was cleaned and the exterior shell was sanded and painted Charcoal Grey Satin. The modified SUT can be returned to original 2 turntable operation if desired. To do so involves soldering, wire, and output cable. I have the wiring schematic for that and can provide it upon request. For sale is my Audio Note S2 step-up transformer to allow you to use an MC cartridge with a MM phono stage. When I was looking for an expensive MC phono stage I did a lot of research about alternatives and tried a lot of different kit. If you have never heard a SUT with a valve MM phono stage you don’t know what you are missing, you will never buy a MC phono stage again, it’s a completely different world of performance. And of course Audio Note is the pinnacle. This SUT is switchable between two settings to give a wide range of cartridge compatibility. I’ve used with a Hana ML, Hana Urishi and Kotsu Black which are all a perfect match. There are loads of other cartridges that work with this SUT, the Low version is really just for the Audio Note IO and some unusual cartridges so the version I’m selling (medium – high) is the one to get. The 15 Ohm switch (Low) of the ‘M-H’ version is designed to partner cartridges with an internal impedance of around 4 to 5 OhmsThe 60 Ohm switch (high) is designed for cartridges with internal impedance in the region of 15 to 20 Ohms.
