Up for sale is one modified Denon AU-320 Phono SUT in very good to excellent condition. Ratios: 1:10 (40 ohm setting) PASS (pass through for MM carts) 1:36 ( 3 ohm setting) This SUT has been modified in the following way. First, the tethered stock cable was removed. Second, the L and R output signals were rewired to the pickup-2 RCA jacks. This was done in order to eliminate the umbilical cable and more importantly to use whatever desired interconnect cables to the phono preamp. Because of this mod, the 1 / 2 switch does not function and the SUT can only be connected to one turntable at a time. Additionally, the 3 / Pass / 40 switch was disassembled and thoroughly cleaned with Deoxit. The switch retains its full functionality and acts normally in all three positions. The interior was cleaned and the exterior shell was sanded and painted Charcoal Grey Satin. The modified SUT can be returned to original 2 turntable operation if desired. To do so involves soldering, wire, and output cable. I have the wiring schematic for that and can provide it upon request. Additionally, the transformer can be wired directly to the RCA jacks to bypass the switch if desired. Contact me for details. Kaum noch zu finden in der Qualität da es unglaublich schwer ist, so ein hohes Übersetzungsverhältnis zu haben und trotzdem einen geraden Frequenzgang bis rauf auf 20Khz hinzukriegen. Die beiden Wicklungen sind nach außen hin komplett geschirmt und der inner Schirm sowie der Kern sind noch mal einzeln nach außen geführt. Zusätzlich hat die Sekundärwicklung einen Mittenabgriff. Leider ist bei einem der beiden Übertrager der Sekundärteil defekt. Ich schätze, es ist nur der Draht der vom Übertrager nach außen geht defekt. Die Sekundärwicklung hat einen Mittenabgriff. Von einem Ende zu diesem ist normaler Durchgang. Vom anderen Ende zu diesem scheint es offen zu sein. Eventuell kann ja jemand das Gehäuse öffnen, nachschauen und im besten Falle einfach reparieren. The interior was cleaned and the exterior shell was sanded and painted Charcoal Grey Satin. The modified SUT can be returned to original 2 turntable operation if desired. To do so involves soldering, wire, and output cable. I have the wiring schematic for that and can provide it upon request. Additionally, the transformer can be wired directly to the RCA jacks to bypass the switch if desired. Contact me for details. I used this modified AU-320 with Denon carts DL-103, DL-103R, and DL-301Mkii and it worked exceptionally well. I upgraded my SUT to a Denon AU-340 SUT and that is why I am selling the AU-320. The AN-S2 is a passive device, designed to convert the mainly current output of your Moving Coil cartridge (MC) to a higher voltage, low current signal of sufficient strength to allow a Moving Magnet (MM) phono stage to amplify it to a suitable level.
