Up for sale is this Sumiko Blue Point No.2 MC phono cartridge. I am selling this cartridge because I have too many cartridges and I rather have this one go to a good home where it will get plenty of use. The sound of this cartridge is great. The cantilever has a tiny bent to the left. You should be able to see a picture of this on this post. However, this does not affect the sound. It always plays great without any distortion. This cartridge should work on any stereo receiver that has a MM (moving magnet) input but I recommend having a phono preamp that has an MC switch. HiFiChoice: Weighing in at 8.3g, the EVO III is the most affordable Sumiko offering to utilise an ultra-low resonance open generator design. This features a resonance-controlled mounting plate in order to offer the lowest possible mechanical impedance. My observations: Hard to put into words, but a rock album played on this cartridge seemed to have more life than others I have owned in the same price range. Selling all of my stereo equipment due to down sizing and no where to put it now that I have retired to our cabin. This is one nice turn table with a Sumiko Blue Point No 2 cartridge in it. I see this cartridge alone sells for $300 plus used. This unit has not had a lot of use. I would consider it used like new. Comes in original box.
