Production date: June 9, 1959. The internal strap is new. It has only been tested mechanically, the belt transport is smooth. For conditions, see photos. CAUTION: The spring that holds the pinch roller down has been disconnected to prevent the pinch roller rubber from being deformed. To make the recorder work, simply attach it to the hole on the head cover. For shipments outside Italy ask for a quote.

The Ficord 1A of 1958 was actually a Stellavox SM4a recorder built under licence by Erskine Laboratories for Ficord Ltd. It has 2 speeds 7.5 & 1.78 ips . This machine was in the professional class of portables and was used by a number of broadcasters. The example here comes with its orginal microphone and battery charger . No batteries are included . It has notr been used for some while so may need a repair / service . A rare example of this machine form my own personal collection. Please study the photos for more information.
