Someone had been an electronics tech for the Merchant Marine in Norfolk and was going to open a retail and repair shop when they passed away. Their inventory was sold at auction by wonderful and honest people who however dont know a resistor from a Mexican jumping bean. This is not a Dynaco kit, it is a clone of one. The Dynaco ST-70 was made in Taiwan ROC in the 90s and retailed over a grand. These copies made by Shenzen Valve Audio Lab currently retail about a fourth of that. still no small potatoes. I have no choice but to sell it AS IS because it is not practical for me to attempt to count the screws and capacitors but I dont think anything is missing. I expect the former owner was planning to assemble it but I dont know what happened to the original outer box, when people pass away they rarely organize the workshop first. Maybe the heirs piled odd junk in it. Whatever happened to it, the box was not part of the kit. I do believe everything is there but I cant swear to it, that said you can see by the sections in the styrofoam being filled everything in that bit should be there, and looks like the remainder as well. Eico ST70, ST97 magazine ad. From the August 1963 issue of Audio Magazine. It is an original, it is not a copy. In good condition. For the year 1963, this magazine opted to make their pages larger than any other year. They would not be able to fit in the larger standard manila envelope used for shipping so we have carefully trimmed each edge. Safely packed, we do include a stiff cardboard insert, the insert and ad wrapped with saran wrap and a Please Do Not Bend sticker on the envelope to help preserve the integrity of the ad.

I have kept this pair of Eico ST 70 output transformers for almost 40 years. They came out of a working ST70 that my uncle built. He gave me the amp, but at the time, you couldnt find 7591 tubes. I was going to convert it to 6L6GCs but eventually became frustrated with the whole project. I saved the transformers, and am offering them for sale because I now have my grandfathers ST40 that I am happy with. I think output impedance is 6k Anyway, if you are looking at this listing, you probably know all about these. The power transformer is listed separately. If you buy both listings, I can bundle them to save on shipping.
