Zum Verkauf steht das Stax Set SRS-2020: Elektrostatischer Kopfhörer (SR-202) mit SRM-212 Verstärkerteil mit Lautstärkeregelung.Dazu gibt es ein Original Stax 2.5m Verlängerungskabel. Der Kopfhörer hatte vor wenigen Jahren neue Ohrpolster erhalten.Darüber hinaus wurde der marode Staubschutz aus Schaumstoff im Gehäuse hinter den Elektrostaten durch längerlebigen Organzastoff ersetzt. Dazu ist der Stax-Kopfhörer durch den Strohhalm-Trick modifiziert, d.h. ein Stück Strohhalm wird unten zwischen Gehäuse und Ohrpolster eingeschoben. Das hat zur Folge, dass der Hörer etwas belüftet ist. Für mich klingt es etwas offener und das Stax-typische Knacken der Elektrostatenfolie durch Druck auf den Hörer wird durch den Druckausgleich unterbunden. Der Hörer und das Verstärkerteil sind funktionsfähig, der Stax SR-202 hat einen sehr detaillierten und offenen Klang. Der SR-202 besticht durch etwas mehr Punch im Bass, da der Einsteigshörer eine etwas schwere Folie als die teureren Modelle verbaut hat. Keine Gewährleistung und Rücknahme da Privatverkauf.
