Sony STR-V4 Vintage Stereo Receiver AM/FM Tuner SHOWN WORKING PSA: If you dont see a video in the listing try loading the listing in an incognito or private window, ebay seems to struggle to show videos when logged in. +Tested Working: The receiver powers up and sounds great, as far as I can tell all of the main functions and pots work as intended, AM/FM receiver even getting signal in our steel warehouse with no additional antenna attached. The lights that once lit up the display no longer seem to function, but the needles of the display move with no issues. The pots have a little bit of static in them when turned, but nothing that a little Deoxit wouldnt likely fix. (See video)+Physical Condition: The physical condition of this unit is great, aside from a pretty major blemish on the units top right front corner. Aside from that damage the rest of the unit is relatively scratch free and in great physical condition. The metal is shiny, with only a few minor scratches on the pots and face, but nothing particularly noticeable. All the labels on the face are still intact, with none being scratched off with age. Meanwhile the wood is relatively unscratched as well, with no major blemishes (aside from the previously mentioned corner). This is an excellent stereo receiver from the 80s when Sony was making really great hifi equipment.The sound produced here is fantastic, nice punchy and surprising amount of bass. It features a low pass filter which is great for removing high end frequencies to get you a cleaner sound and protect your speakers.Theres also a loudness filter which is equivalent to what modern systems would call automatic dynamic range to adjust your EQ for low level listening.Its a dual output 2 channel meaning you can hook up Stereo in 2 or 4 speakers or run them all in mono for more of an ambient/background listening room (ie what they do in cafes, hifi bars, etc.)You could also hook up one of the outputs to 1 or 2 subwoofers for a 2.1 or 2.2 set up.For inputs, theres an AM/FM receiver (antenna included).Phono input for a turntable/record player, (no preamp needed) that sounds great, comparable to my Ifi Zen Phono which is a $200 pre amp.Aux RCA input.Its a great receiver and probably something youd have to pay $300+ for in modern tech to match performance wise. Sound quality very clean, powerful..min 50 watts/channel output. Did a full Deoxit, adjusted tuner to factory specs, incredible FM station lock. The face is mark free, only 2 minor nicks on wood sides. All controls are original, nothing missing. Super clean inside and out. Look at all pictures. I will double box w/ double wall boxes plus correct padding materials. I ship Fedex Ground/ Home Delivery with NO issues, Ive shipped units 3xs this size with no problems,, packing is key to getting this receiver to you as you see it in my pictures.
